It does look better!

I'm glad you posted this. Just finished a game on Expert as Magnar and noticed the following: Sacrifice was nuking the entire population of the city - Derek mentioned this is fixed in the next build Certainly ran into the same growth issue - when I started my offensive the pop was going to cities that were at or near max. I landed on sacrificing the pop to gain mana (but it was mildly frustrating since sacrifice wasn't killing half, it was taking all) <l
It's possible I missed it. But is it only city annihilation that can leave a scorched ground effect?
Yep, that's the current mechanic. I personally wish it didn't work like that.
HF - playing as Elves and on my Sov's level 4 path screen it showed strength as an option along with all 4 paths. PS - hadn't tried this out yet due to being on 32 bit Vista (you recommend 64 bit) but am giving it a whirl. Well done, sir! This thing rocks. I'm wondering if they were switched off in 0.952 to help with memory management... pretty sure they were there in 0.951.
@boshimi - thanks for the input. SSD looks fantastic so I'll figure out a way to put that in. [e digicons][/e]
I feel like popcorn - extra butter.
Looks awesome!
Do you fellas recommend an SSD (maybe 120GB or so) to hold the OS and some games? I'm thinking that plus a 1TB HDD to hold the usual stuff. Thanks in advance. [Edit] Harpo just reread your post in reply #1.
Awesome thread - considering building a new rig, thx for the info!
Reloaded save above in reply #1. Hit end turn, same thing. No dmp, ctd. Debug - https://dl.dropbox.com/u/19969679/Fallen%20Enchantress/0952/debug2.err Same save as above. Derek - if you are on the cloth map and tabbing through active units it is difficult to know which stack you have selected. I don't see a color or anything telling the user which stack they are about to move. Putting a green color around the stack might do the trick (similar to the strategic map).
Just popped a little sacrifice and instead of nuking half the city's population it ate them all.

Tarth built a city on top of a wild grain thus the city hub looks mighty unkempt!
Quoting Tattyhat, reply 5 Bloated database or memory leak, I remember GalCiv II being plagued with this problem, and it seem to elude the programmers for ages, I think they fixed it in the end, not to sure. I hope they catch it quick in FE, otherwise it means you can never have a maxed out game without restarting every 5 moves. yeah, i dont know what it is thats causing it (hopefully St
Derek - why is Wall of Fire listed under Unit Spells & not under City Spells? It could just be me - gonna grab another beer.
Brad - AI is up to their old shenannigans again. Smoking the dope instead of playing. Note season 98 and Resoln with power rating of 6, no settlements and no pop. Haven't seen this in a long time. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/19969679/Fallen%20Enchantress/0952/0952_Magnar.EleSav
Playing an epic game as Magnar on Expert... Brad sent his Storm Dragon my way about 100 turns in, I panicked and was like wtf... Magnar is uber fire mage but no mana then I realized I could spam slave militias and sacrifice for the mana. Fire nuked that dragon out of there. Game changer for the specific set of circumstances I was under. Fun factor 10!

My sovereign King Arthur will go on this quest. "Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?" Ahh, I can see it now...
I had an odd situation where I could settle a 5/2/3 location... found it with wandering hero. Ordered up a pioneer, took him over there, and the specific tile was no longer settleable. Absolutely nothing changed (no new settlements were founded nearby) other than I was killing stuff all around it... and there was an ogre lair nearby. So now I'm wondering if the ogre may have made the nearby tile settleable but when I killed him it wasn't? It was very strange. I had seen something like
I got one recently where all monsters increased two levels.
I demand a new beta build twice a day... once a day is the bare minimum I'll accept!
