Thanks for the input, all. It really sounds like the best option is to invest in a new rig by keeping the existing SSD and HDD, and upgrading the case, PSU, MB, processor, RAM & video card. Just thinking out loud. Why not add some traits to groups of units that allow bonuses for attacking heroes? Why not add a trait to certain monsters that specialize in killing heroes? An inverse of the Overpower trait? The logic here is twofold: grant additional bonus to groups of units for "swarming" a hero because it's a group, they can surround and attack from multiple angles, etc. Furthermore, grant bonuses to select mobs that specialize in killing heros. I checked but this game was so short an autosave wasn't done yet. I usually roll with autosave set to 1 turn but on my last install I forgot to change the default from 5 to 1, thus no autosave.

Hi Derek - did a complete uninstall, deleted all files and folders, etc. Redownloaded the full version of the game, reinstalled, and the darn shrubbery is still missing. In answer to your question I know Sean mentioned he's seeing it too so I'm not crazy, or at least the only crazy. [Edit] Also - just for the heck of it I went into the screens directory and deleted everything. I'm out of ideas to fix this. [e digicons]X([/e]

Derek - this is a no go. I downloaded the file "FallenEnchantress-0.980_update_setup_b" that exists on Stardock Central. When I tried to install it says software is current and I already have the most recent version "0.980.063". [Edit] Also - debug indicates version 0.980.063.
