Yes that trait was removed several patches ago. Why? And with this patch the last ruler with it had it removed. Is that clear now? Can any of you apologists give me any reason why? Just to make a broken game even more painful? Why is it that this game is so painfully bad? Right now on this PC i have Medieval 2, Civ 4---yes fall from heaven, Galciv 2, Civ 5, Sins and WOW loaded. All of these are Hugely replayable and just outright fun.

Yes, if they have the correct types. If it has LAN or Hotseat, then some. If it has PBEM, then alot. And I expect it to be like Single player, only without TC in PBEM.

Yes to being able to specify the duration (thus making it cheaper to get a short one). Having a ROP pact without a NA pact reduces the value of being able to pass through their lands (they might declare war and attack) and more dangerous (they may move troops into your land and then declare war... and you lose valuable cities). Therefore NA pact should be a prereq for ROP pact, if separated.

1) I do not know, but I suspect it improves movement speed and possibly the output of the caravan. 2) Each research has a base chance of being researched. Every time it does not show, the chance of appearing increases (this may also include times it does appear, but you do not select it).

Currently, Diplomatic Victory is like voting a player as the winner which makes it seem kind of hollow and undermines the concept of 'allies'. It should require all remaining factions to be allied and, once this happens, then they all win (rather than just one). Then it will be something players might actually work towards in multiplayer as they do not chance losing. To keep the option of winning without killing everyone or having others win, I prepose there be a Domination Victory. T

How high a level spells a champion can cast very much impacts their power. I would also add that the concept of essence is still in the game it's just not a stat any more, your soverigns ess
The arguable problem with this is that it feels like an "everybody wins!" consolation prize. Not that I disagree with you, but there are people who strongly dislike that sort of thing.
But that IS the essense of a diplomatic victory. Unless everyone wins the allying with other players in multiplayer would be risking giving away victory, thus limiting it to only something that can be achieved against the AI or w
Note that some spells will have scale with the caster's intelligence. Based on how things are now, I'd imagine that this "some" actually means "every single one where that could possibly be the case". -------- Yes... until you research a more powerful spell. If the game can reach a point where that doesn't happen, then that's a problem, but it's not a problem with this particular system. And we've seen no indication that that probl

So no, the AI is not capable of actively pursuing a victory other than Conquest, but with the correct circumstances, they can still get a Diplo Victory. But this goes back to my previous statement; Programming a 'Play-to-Win' AI will not be anything approaching impossi
How does imbuing work now?
Imbues are to have a mana upkeep. ----- Unless there is a stat that effects the ability to use magic other than the one that unlocks spells, then once that is high enough to use the biggest spell then caster heroes will be investing in non-magic stats (likely DEX and CON) and will never, ever need or want to become better at magic again.
I am not sure why some people are unhappy with removing essence in general. It was a fairly arbitrary limitation on the power of the sovereign, and was a fairly OP stat as far as pre 1.1 is concerned. I mean why would anyone want to put points into anything else. Since none of us have actually played the new version, nor seen exactly how global mana works, I think it is safe to say that any outrage over the removal of essence is probably veile
I think it makes more sense in a thematic way. Let' say you're building a Warlord/Warrior Sovereign and you put a heavy focus on your Strength I think that a small bonus to Warfare would be nice because in a thematic way it shows your Sovereigns dedication to "Way of the Warrior".
