There are a lot of UI improvements, one of my favorites is the city idle popup. You now get warned when a city has nothing let in its queue, and you have the opportunity to jump right to it.
I would think a popup that tell you that there ARE idle when you try to end turn and asks "Are you sure you want to proceed to the next turn?" would be better (with the ability to mark cities as idle so they do not cause the message). Then you only ge
trouble is that because population grows at a fixed rate per city, it is far better for players to have their settlements all growing: if you build a house in all three of your cities you will get faster pop growth as a whole than if you built three in one city (because then only one grows). when specialist slots are added and pop becomes more important, it will become even more evident that more settlements = more faction pop growth is breaking the

As its own metric, sanitation is likely to be an annoyance that people who do not want to play a city builder do not want. For a mod it would be fine to have effects specific to it, but for the core game it should only be applied abstractly, if at all. The reason cities need sanitation / health services is to support a large population, which is what food does in the game. As food is already fairly abstracted (and is consumed by buildings), lets have sanitation buildings make the housing you
In general, 4x games have used sanitation as a method of curbing rapid growth. In the civ series, you had city health as the problem which required hospitals and clean food sources. In the TW series, you build sewers and baths to help prevent an outbreak of plague which is probably one of the worst things that can happen to a city in those games as it affects stationed units as well as the populations. ---- I think this is kind of

Yes, no, and maybe. Yes the overpowered nature of spamming cities when compared to building a few good cities has been addressed. No, it is not going to be balanced; in the long run more cities will be better if you can hold them till they are well upgraded. It will just be that building lots of cities will push back the time at which you can achieve big cities (thus linking which strategy is better to game length). The problem with the AI spamming cities at every resource nod

Thereby preventing any resale if you dislike or get bored with the game. Does that also mean that if I buy a used copy from amazon, I'm getting screwed cause I can't use it with Impulse to update it since that one will be registered to someone else's account? If I ever won't have an internet connection when reinstalling the game I'm screwed because I cannot update the game. And it's another useless program running in background which uses my computer's power. <br /
For example, if I have a resource north of my city outside the ZOC (or whatever name you use), building houses and other improvements toward the resource will also help expending the ZOC to that area?
It already does matter, just not as much and not for typical buildings. You can build a line of buildings out towards a resource and then build a missionary/town hall.
