Been working on making a few Battle tiles, they are in my mod folder but do not appear in game. Was wondering if anyone knew where they needed to be added. Trying to make more Contested type tiles, like when defending a City having extended walls and firing positions. Also if any has seen a way to tell if If you have a Ranged Unit it should go here, Melee here and so forth? Thanks all Lost to learn and understand. Lee
I know you can use + and - on the keypad to change the size, makes large areas quick to produce. Lee
Good One, have not tried adding but thought I saw it as a variable. Maybe with the switch to Python we will be able to see the reason. Just as a thought have you tried something like 0.5 as the data, just thinking it might be a count up rather than a time between. Lee

I was looking for a way to log what is happening in the game, not just my play but the NPCs as well. Understanding that this will slow the game down somewhat, I figured there was one for debugging, but did not know if was available to mortals like myself. :) Many times the code is not in retail, but I thought I would ask, would make modding and finding bugs a bit easier. Disagree. On a Huge Map without TP it would be torture to play. Both sides get Teleport, and with the Advantages Empire has atm, in Weapons, and Spys, and Deamons. No need to change it. Also I do not think I have seen the AI use it as of yet, but would be a bit hard to see it. My few thoughts YMMV Lee
I had A squad of Archers, 8 of them ATT 64 vs a 24 DEF unit, Squad of 3. I missed or did less than 4 points of damage, over 10 times. If the game is working as told this seems VERY unlikely. SO I had 8 rolls , 0-64, vs 0-24, end result 0 to 4 ten times that battle, seen it happen many time. or is it: 0-8 The Attack Right Times vs 0-8 DEF This would match what I am seeing but is not what I have been told? To Danners This sounds like the Mem Leak Issue. As you use more Mem, it starts to use your Hard drive as Mem, this gets slower and slower. Lee

It is a ghost written book. As in I believe Brad wrote some of it and another may have done some writing and stitching. It has that feel. But not bad, I have read worse. The story is good, one has to remember, this was done while making the game, as well. I always find it funny to hear folks who have never written a book attack one. Lee
My views on “ Elemental War of Magic ”. First off let me say, I do trust Stardock to do all they can to make this a great game, my heart goes out to the folks who were laid off. I like it as well; I am one of the folks who can play 300-400 turns before any issues on stability. To me at this time the game is more a “Toy” than a true game, please bear with me on this. I was making a stack of 12 Demons,(Kingdom of course) was taking like 45 turns, I dropped a +25 or +50% training building in the City and it completed the Unit for me, so it was 40+ Turns early. On another note the Late Game slowdowns may be connected to the Mem Leak, as when you run out of Mem it will start using the Hard Drive. GL with all the stuff, Still enjoying the game. Lee
When I cast Confusion on a Unit, its attack stat went from 161 to -343. Needless to say it could not Hit anything the rest of the battle. Lee

To OP Do you mean things like Floods, Earthquakes, and the Such? Things like an Old Peddler offers to sell you a collections of Papers? A Champion of Group XYZ offers to Defect? Or a smattering of all these things? Lee

If Attack Value was 20, Level 2 Creature 5+((Random Number (2*2) to 15)) In this case 5+(Roll of 4 to 15 or Min 9 Max 20 25% of Attack Value + ((Random Range(Level*2) to 75% of Attack Value)) Note May or May not want to MAX the Level, needs testing. I think ATM it is, Attack is 50 Def is 50 The math is Attack Rolls 1 to 50 Random, then DEF Rolls 1 to 50 Random, Numbers are then Att - Def if 0 or Neg MISS, if Postive Hit for that Damage. It might be better have them do something like. Half Value+((Level of Unit *2) Random to Half Value) If the Value is 50, and a 3rd Level Unit Would be 25+((6) to 25) or MAX 50 Min 31, so if the Def was a 20 on a 1st Level Unit it would be MAX
