There was no info in the debug file. I loaded a saved 1.08 game (had reached around lvl 300). The game went on for 4 or so turns then it froze. Last thing I was doing was zooming out to cloth view.

seanqgoh: Just so you don't feel left out, I'm experiencing the same exact scenario. Crashes to desktop after around 200 turns, then when I reload it crashes every 20 or so turns.
I agree - all about the gameplay, balance, extra blah blah doesn't mean anything if the game isn't playing because past turn 300 it crashes every few turns. Is there is a better way for the customers to send in the error (debug.err) reports? If the game sold to 80,000 customers, I am only witnessing a handful of folks posting the debug file. It could be that the problem is affecting a smaller population or it could be that many folks are unaware of posting the err

I truly liked MOM so when I heard that EWOM was supposed to be a MOM follow-up, I ended up using bootcamp with win7 pro on my imac to play EWOM. Sadly, the OOM error is too much for me to handle. So I am waiting until they fix it. In the meantime, I discovered the king's bounty game that folks were talking about. It's actually HOMM without the city building. Quite entertaining.
I agree.. please fix the oom problem. It is my biggest issue with the game. Gameplay, tactics, graphics, etc. I can handle, but I can't stand this oom problem.
http://pastebin.ca/1936179 Ironically, I was trying to save the game in case it crashed and it actually crashed during the save screen
Sorry forgot to mention that when the OOM happens, I never know that it actually happens. Basically, the game freezes and nothing movies. So I alt+tab to go to windows and next thing I see is the pop up "OOM" and the windows7 typical error box "... had an unexpected error.. "
Same here I am still getting this error around turns 500. I wouldn't mind it as much, but the process of closing the program -- reopening the program --- loading an autosave --- playing a few more turns (20 or so) and then crashing again is a bit of a pain. win7pro 32bit 4gb nvidia geforce gt130
Pre 1.07: Out of Memory would show up around turns 200-300. Post 1.07: Out of Memory shows up around turn 500 but the game crashes every 5-10 or so turns.
I never really posted on these forums, but I will try to share my views on Brad and his company. I first discovered Brad on neowin.ne t back in the days of winxp customization and windowblinds & skindeveloper. Then the company slowly grew into iconpackager, icondeveloper, bootskin, cursorxp, etc. The days were quite glorius where you saw a very small customization company grow and become heard by the everyone (e
Thank you
very good post. Great job! I also feel very strongly about the following: 1) City mgmt screen (even MOM had it) 2) Better unit stack behavior (similar to MOM would be nice) 3) Merging the various action tabs (buy/sell/etc. - similar to the many RPGs) 4) Cleaning up the UI for the spellbook would be excellent (again similar to MOM) After reading this post, I must admit, I have a new respect for the cr
Around turn 200, the sound vanished. Slowly edging to turn 300 the game started to become slower and eventually it crashed " out of memory." My specs: (running bootcamp from imac) - Windows 7 (32 bit) Pro - 4 GB Rram - nvidia geforce gt 130 - core 2 duo 3.06 ghz http://pastebin.ca/1928015
I too just got the "out of memory" dialog box and the game crashed. I am using: Win7 Pro with 4GB Ram (32bit OS)
