1.07 Out of Memory Crash
I wonder if these memory leaks will ever get plugged.
Here is the crash file:

All I was doing was ending the turn.

I agree - all about the gameplay, balance, extra blah blah doesn't mean anything if the game isn't playing because past turn 300 it crashes every few turns.
Is there is a better way for the customers to send in the error (debug.err) reports? If the game sold to 80,000 customers, I am only witnessing a handful of folks posting the debug file. It could be that the problem is affecting a smaller population or it could be that many folks are unaware of posting the error files. Thus, it would be quite beneficial if we could somehow automate the error reporting functionality of the game.
Is it possible to have maybe an "error bin" inside impulse or even within the game menu that basically grabs the debug.err file and sends its contents to SD. I am just trying to think of an easier way for the SD team to harvest all the data out there in order to try to infer some possible commonalities for the oom problem.
I've sent in my error reports, I highly encourage everyone who experienced OOM to do the same.
My apologies. I totally misread your intro text to that, where you said all 64 bit players need to do is patch the game. I assumed you meant 1.07 fixed the OOM issues.
While I enjoy Elemental when I'm playing it, I got so frustrated last night that I've decided to put it down until Stardock gets their act together and at least fixes the game halting leak issues.. I'm running a computer that was top of the line about a year ago.. Win 7, 64 bit.. lots of memory.. Yet after an hour or two into any game, I invariably crash from a memory leak.. and then each time I go back into that game it doesn't take too much longer before it happens again. The slowdowns are much less severe than in the past, but the mem leak crashes are still happening at a far too frequent rate. Amazes me that we're this far from launch and yet we still have major memory leak issues going on.
Get the mem leak fixed and then I will worry about gameplay...
Wardell said this was one of his biggest embarrassments about the game in a Dev Diary. Apparently, though, that meant very little in terms of trying to actually plug it.
