Essential to making Elemental "Standardized" -Combat Improvements 1. An AI unit in the front should move first as to prevent blockage. 2. Archers should always attack first if in range. Otherwise other team mates should move first as to not cause blockage. 3. Weak units, or valuable units such as kingdom/empire heirs shouldn't rush past his guards towards the enemy. Especially if they have no equipment and run head first in to a 500atk legion stack. -Suggestions

Can a sovereign cast in a boat? I never used them, but if you could, then you should be able to lower land and make a beach and do a magic sneak attack to the enemy's capital.
"Hero tends to only die if you get unlucky and the enemy is not wiped out in the first round" Wait, if its auto resolve, why would rounds come in to play I'm confused.
I'm used to computer selling crystal for 200 per...so it can really depend...
Through trade windows with AI, I can profit off them for no benefit on their part. This can only work if both parties have a sufficient amount of gildar. Example: I'll buy all your metal for 2,000 gildar. "Deal!" Say...I noticed you have no metals, pretty important stuff... How bout I trade you all your metal back for say... 6,000? "Deal!" Hold on let me add a little bit of my own metals so I can take all 8000 of your gildar. "Deal!" Like stealing candy from a baby...</p
Yeah I had fun with the game. Unfortunately I've reached a limit on replaying the game as I've mastered it with Kingdom. If I put any more handicaps it would be just plain impossible to win. I'm also under the impression Empire is even easier with the -10 aoe and ogrespam units. (think i'll go try that out now) Looking forward to future patches that make the game tougher (I know Stardock will pull through), and I'll be playing it all over again like crazy :)
The Warfare tech tree has technology that can produce units faster. If you have to wait 50 turn I'm guessing your making companies of troops? In one of my cities I was able to make an elite squadron(er the max size) of dragons at 15 turns with all the barrack/command center upgrades. Eh course even with my 100% gildar per city lvl focus I was losing 70 gildar per turn with 2 stacks. This was only offset by the 100-500 per turn I made by through being attacked. Edi
There ARE tech bonus within the civilization tree. You have to start building schools and universities, in my one city game I had a like 150%-300%+ tech (Eh whatever was the max).
After beating the game on ridiculous with only a single city (and waiting till turn 400 to attack enemies) the sovereign seems very weak. With Legendary armor and with 50 dexterity and 50 constitution he would still die in one hit, getting completely destroyed over his hp cap. I'd like to suggest that while the basic weapon stats get lowered so the army stacks don't get powerful too quickly, the sovereign should have a different set of powerful(!) gear unavailable to the regular tr
During tactical combat if an opponent uses hurricane near a town or an enemy teleports randomly, they can end up behind a house/tactical field decoration. Thus I've had battles that could not be finished without auto resolve because I could not engage in combat with my enemies.
The catapaults I see on ridiculous are pretty effective with a meager 32 attack. They can miss 1/3 but attack 2-3 times each per turn doing 30 damage per hit. This includes highly defensive units such as a squadron of elite dragons. Since there are usually 3-4 stacks they do around a 100 damage per turn if not more. This is with the ogre tanks in front with 4000 hp and 300 attack with various other archers etc. Not to mention I get attacked by 2-4 armies per turn I'm fin
If you want to talk about realism, human women wouldn't even be in melee combat. This is because they can't generally can't compete with men in physical activities above the rare exception. This is a fact. Thus I wouldn't even bother with arguments as boob plates might deflect blows the wrong way.
I was just looking at all the pre-made sovereign's histories and I noticed Verga is the only one without a history? Guessing Warlord with his "Loyal followers" but it did strike me as very odd...
You sure Corbeaubm? The AI has seemed pretty aggressive to me in all my games.
Yes, on harder difficulties, sometimes having four brand new cities next to nice resources can mean a jealous neighbor that notices you put all your money on fast expanding instead of building guards.
On ridiculous mode, an enemy sovereign decided to attack one of my cities without diplomatically declaring war (Only time it happened/bug?). The sovereign and her army attacked my city guarded by one "Guard" making it a "300" vs "100" fight. Thinking "meh take the city you wench!" "Auto Resolve" and he somehow won! Apparently this one guard took out the Queen and her invasion force by himself. He destroyed an entire empire without using a single turn! I
I think this could be solved if every kingdom/empire could start with a custom sidekick (Custom Janusk)/+custom spouse. That way I wont have to worry about the stats of my future spouse or if I can ever find one. Last game I got married at turn...700 or something cause it was a total sausagefest
Anyone else feel like the marriage process is a bit... Sovereign: My lady, would you accompany me in my adventures? "Sure...that will be 1400 Gildar" Sovereign: Right...here you go (Many years pass between the two and their adventures) Sovereign: I want you to be my queen...Will you marry me? "Sure, you already paid 1400 Gildar I'll do anything you like"
First of all, let me say that I'm sorry for your loss. Some people were meant to be single for the rest of their lives... and it looks like you might be one of them.
Test, for some reason I don't even see this posted
I'd say no...not until the bugs are fixed
I expected this game to be a lot more balanced considering I played GalCiv 2 and it seemed fine.... :o
Oftentimes I wouldn't build at all for many turns because I simply queued something and completely forgot about the city. Or that it even finished production years ago and now I have a giant army knocking on my doorstep with nothing in it lol
I've already accumulated a play count of 39, and I was not in beta nor pre-order. Now this could be a very good thing or a very bad thing. I purchased this with my dad playing it in mind, but at it's present bugged out state I can't present it to him. I know he will get frustrated quickly, call it crap, then forget all about it. On the other hand I find myself constantly restarting the game crash upon crash. "Why?" I thought to myself, do I constantly play this crappy bugged out g
