I have found one very confounding feature missing in WOM. You can't change equipment during a tactical battle!! Bah humbug!!!! I should be able to open fire on an opponent with a rain of arrows while he closes, but switch to a mace or sword to finish him off when he gets close. Now, with a greater need to match weapon to target vulnerability, I certainly hope the ability to change weapons (and shields too), as the battle opposition thins, is a coming feature. When

Actually, those level 3 quests are available in a quite a few locations. If you retreat from one, it disappears, but look long enough and you will find it again. Meanwhile, you can't explore other level 3 quests. I had that problem in my last game, with the Uber good armor quest. Retreated first time and lost sight of the quest. About 30 turns later, I found it again....and had to retreat again. Grrrr! So I put together a good army and went looking for it next time. Just found and fought the

I have founded something like 900 cities while playing about 175 games mostly with the founding stack bumped out of town on creation. I have yet to have anything attack the city in the turn between founding and the following turn when I move the tribe in to defend the city. It may happen, but it is so rare as to not even be a concern for me at this time. Future patches may be a whole nother matter though.

I had a similar problem at first with the new army of monsters giving me grief. Now it is not much of a problem. Two heros with weapons can handle most early mobs, if you don't expand too early. It is also important to fight the monsters in battle, outside of your city. Attack them, but once in tactical combat, stay back 2 squares and let them come to you. The version 1.1 seems a little more CTD prone on my system than any of the betas leading up to the 1.1 release?? No idea why. I CTD at autosave of turn 110, then CTD again at Turn 145. You should NOT move into the same square as the adventurer you want to recruit. You should move adjacent to the new adventurer, if and only if she/he is outside your territory. (If the adventurer is inside your territory, you can recruit them without having anyone adjacent.) Then select the targeted adventurer square. Not at all certain this is your problem, but it is a worthwhile check point. Make certain your Windows firewall allows Impulse to access the internet. Firewall settings are located in the control panel. What operating system are you using? I am assuming Windows, but which version, etc.? Facts are always a useful mater when troubleshooting.

One glitch, One request. Glitch-If two towns both finish a build the same turn, they both ask to Build/Trail/cancel. You can't build the first cities build before the second city obtains focus for its build. Kind of a pain to know what town came up first, when you have 10-15 cities and several are cash cows with little building going on. OK. Let me add my $.02. I have played the game from the released 1.00 version on through the rest. I often play 2-3 hours oer day and have started the game over 135 times since I bought it in August, on the day of release. I am running Win 7 64 bit with a Phenom 965 and 8 gb of ram on an MSI 790FX-GD70 and a 60 gb SSD for the system drive, 300gb velocaraptor HDD for the games. I get OOM errors after extended play.
