It would be nice if there were an after battle report that would indicate what armor/weapons/spells and other tid bits your enemy used/currently has access to, in an effort to gain actual intelligence on your enemies. I'm thinking that this could also be extrapolated in to a racial ability in which your sovereign gets a view of the enemies gear/abilities/etc.. along the lines of the scouting ability from HOMM. Since the AI will adapt to you and what you have fielded, why

I'm pretty sure you just go through your directories and clear anything related to FE beta. I personally don't mind that there is no uninstall function but I can understand why others would be confused/upset about it. No biggie really though.

Allow the early, mundane items to be combined with magical trinkets thus creating knew unique items and giving more utility to the shop. Kind of like a mini crafting system. expand and discuss!

The only issue I can see with this are those sovereigns that start with 1k extra gold. They would have a huge advantage as claiming land/resources early is the most beneficial way to play. What I would like to see is your first city reaching a requirement (population limit?) of some sorts to create your first pioneer. Then another requirement for your next and so on. This would make you develop your capital first before setting out and

I know I'm in the vast minority with this, but I actually liked the merchant/road function from war of magic and kind of miss it, though I'll stop short of asking for that to be added back in FE... anyways my reasoning is that it wasn't a trivial function. You actually had to protect your trade lines and establish your connections, which were fairly beneficial and worth some of your attention. The problem was that it became tedious to defend your roads after a wh
DLC is illogical for this game. There is an expansion planned after FE. It will add much to the game. Inbetween we will get MP and boats and stuff like that. Your concerns are very good ones, but looking at Dev journals, they seem to be planned for change in beta 3 and 4. Beta 2 is doing its job. We can only wait.
Agreed, I am having a lot of fun with this current build, did someone say frost and fire mages? :)&nb

I still can't help but feel we are playing with a shell of a game, a meaty shell, but still a shell. I've played many games of the current FE beta, and when compared to WOM its great, but that's still not saying much in the way of the 4x fantasy genre. I know the devs aren't done with FE but I feel I should voice some of my concerns. I've stated in the latest journal that my chief concern has to do with the tech trees. To add

The one and only thing I find lacking in the current build of the beta is a more clear and concise tech tree. The tech tree is the backbone of these kind of games and as of right now, I feel that the choices made from turn one on don't really have a particular effect. By this I mean that it usually doesn't SEEM to matter which tech I start with nor which tech I choose to begin researching first overall. I feel that after playing the beginning part of about 10-12 game

I don't think the shop is intended as a source of upgrades for early gameplay (it most definitely is a source of upgrades later on, but mostly for newly recruited heroes). I view it more as a source of money early on, a place to sell all the little things you've been collecting while exploring that you won't be using. Plus, they also added a Trade/Shop button to switch between easily. I'd like to see unit items instead of things only champions can use.

Yes please. That is the only way I've swayed the few friends I have that play all the Heroes games. HOT SEAT! Now that I think about it, WoM and FE are mostly single player anyways and I do so enjoy the lightning fast turns!

I predict, right now, that this is the phase in which the entire Elemental IP takes that last crucial turn around the corner. All the new FE assets are really being implemented with this push and I love love love what I'm reading! Magic based armies FTW!! Warlocks unlocking to be combined with Elementals and Wizards.... this could get slapstick crazy! Not sure if adding in new concepts is being accepted at this point but an upgrade path to th

It only makes sense that since Derek has joined the team, FE has gone more the way of CIV IV which is awesome, but it's been done before and with a lot more polish/detail. Enough rambling, time for work. I'm looking forward to this game a lot and wish everyone involved the best of luck!/
The difference here is that if you want a summoned army you would probably need to recruit the right combination of ch

My big fear is that the game play will be exactly the same or too similar to WOM. The core of WOM still lives in FE it seems. This is not to say the core of WOM is bad, it's not and that game was still somewhat fun to me (it's kept me coming back here to keep checking on FE) If FE is to be the game that wipes WOM from recent memory, IMO, it needs way more new functions to it. It needs to be very dynamic in that there are multiple ways to PLAY, not just multiple

I really like the cut-scene idea when casting spells. Maybe certain spells can have more grandiose animations/cut-scenes. The one thing I'd like to add to this idea is a voice effect, something along the lines of Saruman casting his spell in LotR. Maybe have a faded and echoed sound effect of the spell being chanted and casted. It's not important but it's a little something that adds another layer of immersion to the game... at least for me it would. <

I've been wondering what the differences between these two games are going to be. Are we still going to be building empires while exploring with our heroes? What is the ultimate goal in any given game of FE? Is FE going to be WoM except with more RPG elements? What are the differences between these two games that will really make it feel as if I'm playing a different game? Is that even the intention behind FE? I have lots of
I actually agree with Black-Knight. Easy army teleportation is not a small thing. Where other players will need multiple armies you will only ever need one huge one. Out exploring or questing and the AI back stabs you? No problem just teleport your entire army from across the world right to where you are under attack. Strategy, forethought, or planning; Who needs it when you can instantly move entire armies around. It also give players a huge advan
SWEET! This is awesome! One thing I would like to see is more unique spell books that can be selected at the beginning. Maybe procipee should get one. In fact it would be cool if every (or almost every) channeler had at least one unique spell.
I love this idea. It worked well in the HOMM series. My favorite was Solmyer (couldn't you tell? :P ) he started with the chain lighting spell which was a level
