[.85][Suggestion] Shop needs much more stuff in the beginning

There needs to be more stuff available to purchase in the beginning of the game.  There should be basic versions of most of the weaponry types.  It dosen't make sense to have to research a basic shield or bow or sword.  Especially when my sovereign has the ability to start with some of these.  There also needs to be some healing potions or some such to purchase.

well in the very early you dont have much money to use tbh

but yeah i agree a couple more items could be nice to see

I was just shooting off the hip.  It's just silly to build my first city and have a shop who sells clubs and staff's only.  Whats the point?  How about not having a shop until you build one?  Or you could need to set up a bazaar zone in your city where different stuff comes up for sale.

I'd like to see crude bows available with first weapons tech and some kind of starting armor, like a 3 piece hide set: shirt/pants +1 def and + def vs blunt, cloak + def vs blunt.

That sounds cool.  I just believe that the shops should have some basic sorts of armor/weapons/healing items etc..  Who starts the game and buys a club or staff?

I like the idea of a building that would make the shop occasionally sell limited quantities of random powerful items.  Perhaps tied to trading technologies?  You'd also want to receive a notification when something new was available.

(I'm guessing this is probably out of scope, though)

I don't think the shop is intended as a source of upgrades for early gameplay (it most definitely is a source of upgrades later on, but mostly for newly recruited heroes).  I view it more as a source of money early on, a place to sell all the little things you've been collecting while exploring that you won't be using.  Plus, they also added a Trade/Shop button to switch between easily.  I'd like to see unit items instead of things only champions can use.  This could cut down on some of the higher costing units one can produce later in the game.
