We agree on this. Brad likes being heavily involved with the community that likes his games. Hazarding a guess, he seems to get at least part of his creative energy this way. But he doesn't sit back and wait to be thanked for a finished game, and that's an issue. Are you implying that he is expecting a thanks for FE beta? Talk about a strawman. It's a false choice to imply that not being a snot to the CEO

They are protected by city borders, outposts are not, while outposts are fairly cheaper and quicker early game rushing, monuments provide a more stable area of influence.
This is a very good point. The mid-beta isn't a finished product, and the development team has already issued a 0.911 list of changes that includes ramping up the aggressiveness of monsters

The Dominion stat increases as you level, and as you select traits that boosts your summoner abilities. Having active summons consumes Dominion, which is returned when they die or disappear.
Oh I agree. The reason people like Brad is because he is outspoken but also takes responsibility. I remember Demigod. Played it a bit last night, will play it some more when I get a chance. I tend to go for the magicusers, such as Pariden, and on large maps, so likely I won't see many of your changes for a while. When I do, I'll let you know how things go.
Thread's supposed to be about rating the game in its current mid-beta state, and pretty much just that. At least if the game fails, Stardock can make its money back selling all the wood from the soapboxes constructed here telling a company with more than a decade's worth of experience in making niche hits how to do their business from start to finish. But Brad, it probably wasn't a good idea to start this thread with only a mid-beta--or to start a thread like this, a

I'd like to see a user option for the amount of shards: sparse, moderate, or heavy. With "magic strength" already present, that should make for some interesting combinations that could range from extremely easy for magic users to extremely difficult, and different means of dealing with the result. A lot of magic shards but little strength to magic would lead to a free-for-all for shards among those who use them regularly. A lot of magical strength and very few shards wou

Should I assume it only needs to be installed under the mods subdirectory under Fallen Enchantress/SDNXL?
I'd love to see this, and rather have it now than just wait until the game is released--without knowing for sure, even then, whether some like it would be featured.
Thanks. Downloaded, and installing. I'm also looking forward to hearing about the latest changes.
