I need hardly add that this grants you special powers.
OK, so whatever it is, it's not a general issue but appears to be specific to my system.

The spell is otherwise fine as it is.
With respect, if my party is attacked by four or five units, their enemies are going to (in most cases) slowly advance in rank. My sovereign can simply move to the back of the available space, and use the staff. A turn or two later, the enemies are gone, without otherwise touching them. That still seem

I'm convincing they are in the early game, when my sovereigns find them. True, you can't use them every turn, but they're effectively a one-shot kill to everything on the screen early on, and even against resistant creatures do good damage. Perhaps make the item only available for use to characters of a certain level, or gimp it with a really hellish negative initiative. Or both.

Much better relationship of monsters to environment than in the Diablo and Fate series. Much larger game, lots more monsters, some pretty nasty traps. Game ramps up difficulty of dungeons for the second city you travel to a bit too quickly in my opinion, though I'm playing on veteran. Spell are far, far too few, and haven't found anybody selling them. Like the new enchant system.

I'd certainly like to see some monsters gain bonuses and malus for movement and combat on different terrains. That might even apply to some champions, as well, depending upon race.

Any chance of getting the spellbook associated with each spell into the Hiergamenon for 0981? And maybe having the entire list sortable by spellbook?

Yes, Toby is working on that (we gotta make sure it has space and such, gonna add a few more resources so that it doesnt look wonky). Probably wont be in for this patch though. Personally, I would never assume compatibility in that situation with any game, but perhaps I'm just a bit pessimistic on that score.

No idea what it changes, however. And it's different from 098, or at least, doesn't replace the 098 executable I downloaded the other day.
