Yeah, the series has always been ahead of the curve on static artwork. Real nice style.

I continue to be impressed with how you've pushed forward with your mod, Primal Savage. It's a model in that sense of any code should be maintained. Good job.
It stands to reason that if it were genuine, it would be auto-downloaded from Steam, or a download from Stardock. Not up on Nexus.
To be clear, it's not a bug; if you started casting the Spell of Making then you are immobilized for ten turns while you cast it. That's intentional.
Only it's not all my heroes and troops that were immobilized, but only those in one stack. The others--four heroes and their troops in two stacks--were perfectly fine, in two other stacks. Which doesn't make it sound like a match for the cond
In no particular order, except for the first two: Alpha Centauri King of Dragon Pass (arguably the strangest TBS/RPG hybrid ever made) Master of Magic Civ IV (with mods, especially Realism Invictus) Crusader Kings II
It was very popular when it first appeared, and the second release was just as well received. Those were in the early days of Strategy First, when they were concentrating on in-house development. (Then they got a few big hits, spent on funding and publishing bad games by others, and ended up in bankruptcy before being sold.) The premise was clever, but over time they were increasingly criticized for the linearity of the series, the lack of complex development paths, and the simple, repetitive
I couldn't really come up with just one. Let's say, Northern Indian cuisine, and leave it at that. :)
The player starts by choosing their sovereign and deciding what spell book he or she has. The more spell books of a particular type, the more likely the player will be able to use their lore to research rarer spells in that category.
How very MoM-like of you. And something I like, as well.
Frankly, I've become bored with LH. I'm ready for some big changes; no matter what they are. And I do like to ha
As I recall, when you attempted that kind of thing in MoM, every other faction leader in the game knew instantly what you were doing, and turned on you. Having that as an optional checkbox would seem attractive. Alternatively, attract the more powerful monsters within X distance from the player's borders to immediately attack his/her territory, as if being driven mad by the casting.

Should I assume it's a completely new file, rather than a replacement?
@Glazunov1 That's great news. I've actually put some more thoughts into that and I've decided to lower it to 6000 instead of 7777. My original aim for the Triggered Event series was to have all of them spawn at "MoreOften" and this is achieved at 5000. In any case, I think the 6000 will provide nice stages 33% chance if LessOften is select
I've played a new games with "less random events" for a few hours, and so far, I like the change. It doesn't feel as though everybody is throwing everything they've got at me quickly, from quests to roaming monsters.
I'd like it to be an option, available from the opening advanced menu, that lets you keep wildland monsters in their natural habitats. But I doubt this will change.
I'd suggest starting with Life and Earth, using Pariden as a race, and Summoner just for the pleasant little wolfie you can get right away. At the game start, having one can make a great difference. And with Pariden, you get militia and spearmen with ranged lightning attacks. Later in the game as you boost the number of spears per unit, and as they gain experience, their attacks will increase in strength. It also helps if you choose city spells, developments, and spearmen traits that add
Well, I did start the Spell of Making a turn or two before this happened, so that's logically the one that set matters off. I'm surprised the bug hasn't been squashed by now. Thanks for your assistance in getting the cause of it.
I did, but that was roughly twenty turns ago. And it was Tremor, repeatedly, so I could bring several units to deal with the monster stack. Logically, it should have faded by now.
As the title states. Has anybody ever had this happen to them? One of my stacks cant move, and the circled X is above it, which I've only ever seen on a tremored unit. It's been 4 turns, and they still can't go anywhere. Nor should it happen in my own territory.
Thanks. I'll go those a shot as soon as I finish my current game, which should be very soon.
ALL random events will occur and they ALL occur before turn 300.
I've noticed a lot of events in the first 50 turns, even with random events set to less than the standard. It's either that, or turn them off altogether. Is there any way a setting could be created that spaces them out more, and offers a selection of quests, disasters, and roaming monsters rather than the lot? Perhaps with a checkbox that lets you
Zipfile's on its way.

But then, shouldn't it be grayed out if you lack the right research? Good remark, gonna fix that ASAP. EDIT: Hum, the spells are working properly for me even&nbs
Quoting Glazunov1, reply 8 Should be an easy mod fix, surely? Yes, easy to mod. But many don't mod....and shouldn't the game be the best for many?
That implies "the best" is something a majority agree on. You and I feel the SoM is too easily achieved at the moment, but others may not think that way. And mods typically allow more choices.
