do the mods download directly to the game or must one still do different cr*p for each mod to work?
All mods require knowing where to dump the files. Some require more than that. I get your frustration, but no one is forcing you to play their mod, and it's all their effort, being provided for free. So you probably should put up with the shit you'll face for 5 minutes spent per mod wh

More rapid updates of a few items, while working longterm on others, makes sense to me. I did notice the improvements in speed. The game's significantly faster, now, and that's very apparent on large maps. Thanks. :)
Has quite a few factual errors. Yes, what a surprise.
Pretty sure this is a bug. Brad's made clear that the AI isn't supposed to get away with anything the human player can't.

So to put it bluntly, are you a real person, who wants to discuss a game, or just a fanboy spamming forums without any real interest in discussion? Your post certainly seems generic enough for the former.

If you're using a Pariden-based ruler, you need strong cities. There's no reason to do Pariden if you don't go for the spellbooks on the magic tech progression, which means you'll be doing that much more than other rulers--and dividing your tech advancements. This means slower tech advancement overall; other rulers will probably reach the world achievements and military upgrades sooner than you. Such a thing is unforgivable. You must ch
I've uploaded Oblivion mods to Nexus, with success. Expansion of the site has been over-ambitious, in my opinion, and I've been displeased with a loss of d/l speed from servers for paid members. But the site loads quickly, the operation is managed well, and if the moderators aren't always polite, I've yet to see them take action in a high-handed fashion. And I've been involved in the forums on and off for several years. Of course, I

You know, I usually win my games on ridiculous, even when I play races cooked without cheese, and just won a game on insane (admittedly, with a very cheesy race). I am quite used to beating Magnar, early or late, and I always
Summoner This gives all your summons +2 levels and access to the Summon Shadow Warg Spell. This is also a Newbie crutch profession The shadow warg is helpful in the early game, but soon losses relevance and Summoning as a whole is pretty weak. There are very few summons that are worth a shit. And even if there were good summons, "Level" increases don't really make a unit all that much more powerful, really only gives them more HP. Maybe if you get summon earth elemental and take th

Derek and his team made a conscious decision to drop it. I'm assuming the only way they'll bring it back will be if you hire a very large man named Vito to visit each of their homes late at night with a message. But even then I wouldn't count on it.
I've seen so many threads urging that so many traits, factions, leaders, spells, monsters, and buildings are overpowered. It doesn't seem to matter that not everybody plays the same way, or on the same map, or at the same level of difficulty--or that Derek and Brad won't hold guns to our tiny collective heads and require we play each and every thing that somebody finds overpowered. All of it is just too powerful. Throw it out. So this is my

It's very good if you plan on producing a lot of troops to go at melee. Build a Fortress city on a square with at least two essence, and after you've developed it with Enchanted Hammers, remove that and add a couple of Aura spells to really boost those troops still further.
