conversely it could be argued that same price x bigger potential audience = bigger potential revenue.

i know. that was referring to the integrated gpu taking preference over discrete card comment.
sure, the lack of upfront info is an issue. thing is, inexperienced users won't get hit by this as inexperienced users generally don't touch check for update and let it all be done automatically (as ms intends). the only people screwed by this are those who know just enough to play blocking or modding stuff but not enough to know how to fix things. and as i said, i don't think it says anywhere that this supersedes the insider program. i'm thinking this is a second layer of tes
usually (?) you can set it to disable the onboard automatically in bios when a discrete is installed. is the intel control panel link not available on right mouse click context menu?
not sure what's wrong with this. this just means most people won't get anything but b. they probably would get better press if they call c & d beta patches or something. not entirely sure they are correct to say the c & d stuff didn't go through insiders 1st.
yet i would imagine #3 would have to include something that would protect them from getting booted by those investers
what. no mention of the sins giveaway on humble bundle?
there's no such thing as 32 or 64 library. (presumably referring to program files and program files x86). steam installs things where you tell them to install them and it doesn't really matter what they are labelled, it's just a name. doesn't affect whether they are run as 32 bit or 64 bit as that's determined by what the exe is compiled as.
bear in mind how linux distros have similar upgrade patterns. of course, they are different in that it's not forced and they tell you upfront that if it's working, you don't need to bother changing. or how chrome os is updated every month, though that's a lot less complex with less hardware variations. [quote who="c242" reply="26" id="3729420"] I was among the insiders whose complete profiles where emptied after the 1809 update. I reported that, that was ab

funny thing. i put machine to sleep last night after using 1809 all day. wake it up this morning and monitor was still asleep XD forced shutdown with power button and boot went fine. though kinda oddly, it didn't scream problem at POST (normally it'll say problem at last boot and change the memory clock to not xmp and i'll have to go into bios and change it back) forgot to say, i didn't reboot or shutdown all day after upping to 1809 (aside from sending it to sleep) and the la
let's put it this way. tdr issue apparently existed since win 7 or 8 and still not necessarily fixed in win 10. not really related to their issue, but still. probably some obscure thing that's difficult to find because of all the backward compatibility stuff that they haven't gutted out after all these decades. just upped to 1809. so far so good... but i haven't actually done a thing with it
can't say i've ever had the screen going black from just doing stuff. the few occasional times it happened (been a while since i last had one) was exiting fullscreen (1080p) game to 4k desktop (or alt tab). something to do with tdr..
not sure i understand... you are saying black screen because stuff is being sent to a "wrong" monitor/port but you still get a cursor with that? i have nvidia. i occasionally get a no signal to monitor thing (it literally goes to sleep... so no cursor there XD) when cold booting.. (though i've seen it when waking from sleep once or twice). a forced shutdown and start up fixes that for me. which is probably a different issue to yours. i tend to not shutdown nowadays (and use sleep inst
does it get more or less dust compared to fan boxes? and is that going to work for gpu of the X070 tier?
it doesn't warn you to not install stuff. it's just an ad. blatantly false ad, mind you. and annoying as the log in ad that i keep getting in the notification centre promoting some ms account login thingy (i think)
umm... ubi gave away blackflag for free a few months back..

no issues really.. though i noticed an ad for microsoft authenticator popping up in the notification area.... pfft.
[tinfoil hat] the trouble with getting someone to fix your machine.. especially if it's a software issue is someone will be digging through your stuff and there's no way to know if you can trust them. that said, even if you were to bin the old machine... there's still the issue of getting rid of the data in it before doing so.. [/tinfoil hat]
none... grabbed humble bundle for a year.... so don't want to end up double grabbing the same things.
does anyone find the front jacks/ports (especially the ones that point skyward).... lacking. you plug things in and the wires... due to gravity will be bent 180 degrees fairly quickly and well... get damaged.
it could have been an old version vs new version thing may be? or i don't know, your installed version got borked somehow
there is no difference between malwarebytes freebie and premium/trial of the same version number.. (i don't mean the functions), it's the same installer that installs the same files. freebie is basically premium disabled. i'm guessing the one you installed is a newer version that fixed whatever problems or even reinstallation of same version did the job. not sure what flavour of comodo you have but having 2 real time protection on at the same time is bad, just in case you don't know.<
you never installed chrome or other google stuff ever? chances are it was installed with the other stuff but not uninstalled. --- what the heck is uninstalled malwarebytes, etc? just the installer file?
