That in and of itself is not a 100% guarantee since Flash (for example) offers McAfee's antiviral scan with every update and therefore, Flash player's update setting should be 'notify' and not 'update automatically'. Adding "Web of Trust" wouldn't be a bad thing. You could try using ninite since it notifies or discards updates for software which are 'bundled'/'wrapped'.
<

and to think i used to use comodo.. adblockplus doens't fiddle with certificates... right? XD (why replace ads with other ads instead of just blocking them??? for free?) here's the weird thing.. kaspersky safe money sort of does man in the middle certificate too.. it installs a cert to scan https to check for dodgy stuff..
ms windows defender now kills the fish automatically... cert and all ... or so i read.
... you don't have to pay tax on your "returns" XD
well it's logitech... utterly unreliable when it comes to battery meter even if you have it loaded. i have the solar keyboard.. and one night in the last few weeks, i hit the battery gauge thingy and it said something like 83%. hit it a moment later it says 84... repeat 85. (and no.. the ceiling light ain't that bright) makes absolutely no sense as usual. beats me why they don't have an absolute counter rather than some fuzzy stuff calculated based on usage pattern
how? pseudo abandonware?

i suppose it depends on how often you get a new build. think my current one is like 8 years old .. albeit with various replacement bits (wasn't a high end build either.. not that i did the building)
nevermind new xcom things... did they even finish fixing teleporting bugs and what not?
this ain't the one with modules where the cpu/gpu bits are cooled in mineral oil or something, is it? XD ps.. not waiting 6 months or what not for skylake?
well, rt is supposed to get some elements of 10.. just not 10 XD
that's because dx12 is win 10+ only
the life time of device thing... meh. you change your mb and it's no longer the same device? XD
looking forward to seeing more details than that. i have win 7 retail... i imagine if i install that on a new machine (where are you, skylake) i can get win 10 upgrade for that free (as long as i get rid of win7 from the old box.. .probably sitting around g

kaspersky is a bit quirky with its upgrades (full, subversion.. but not "patch versions") ... as in. you have to manually nip over to their site to get the downloader instead of having it done via its updater... what year are we in?? then again i get it for free... and its not bad (aside from really slow starts for firefox esp with the plugins) that aside.. they just killed 1 ms site? how? blacklisted it? XD bit drastic to have to uninstall the thing as a
