Strength bonus for a bow isnt that bad. You can draw a bow further with high strength. Whether it should count as much as a melee weapon is arguable. Perhaps to make advantage of very high strength you need more costly bows?
Or maybe a minimum STR required to wield a specific bow? Then, use DEX to determine AP multiplier? This isn't anything new either. [e digicons];P[/e]
AeroWreck The attack/counterattack - In principle, I agree with you. There are a couple of issues though. No unit should be able to counterattack more times than it could attack during that unit's turn Ranged attacks on both sides should be handled first. It shouldn't be an attack/counter in that instance. Both sides just target who they want, then melee. Not a fan of resurrecting the dead. If I lose
As a whole, I too, love the game. Hate the performance drops after turn 150 or so, though. To add something to this conversation: - In tactical combat, attack/counterattack should happen simultaneously. An example would be melee fight in MoM, or any tactical fight in, say, Heroes 4, where archer unit responds to archer unit if they fight each other. - Stacking archer units, and melee for that matter, as unit of consisting more than one being should be handl
Because I want spheres to replace the wheels under my car.
You get ship near she shore (real shore, not just coast line, the one that looks "lowered") , then select units the same way you do in city and then right click on shore.
Ahha, that makes sense. Thanks!
I agree, I love the game and find it challenging enough, with few quirks of course, and my only issue is this terrible performance. I've narrowed it so, that it has to have something to do with initiating combats. I bet everyone else noticed this too and there must be more posts about this. - When I load the program and then my gamesave, everything goes smoothly. - Then, every combat after another, the performance seems to drop. Sometimes the screen goes
I second this... How to unload troops? [e digicons]X([/e]
I noticed my sovereign was about 23 when first baby, a boy, was born. Didn't really check, but I guess the sov starts at the age of 20? Didnät check the turns either, but was pretty soon. Now, my sovereign is the proud father of a son and 3 daughters, aged about 19, 15, 9 and 5 if I recall correctly. [e digicons]:andrew:[/e]
I'd like to know too, I'm sick of stabbing me foes with my rusty dagger I found on turn 1 from a pile of garbage. The enchanter promised me a mighty blade, and I damn well want it! [e digicons]:banhammer:[/e]
Quoting aerowreck, reply 2My sov now has 4 children, the eldest being 19 years of age. When do I get to see him as a unit? At 20 years old, is what I think Brad said.
Ah ok, my patience seems to have run out on a critical moment. Thanks! [e digicons]|-)[/e]
Well I started my game, and immediately after Janusk shows up my sovereign spot a female dressed in blue robes. Ofcourse I recruit her on turn 2, costs a whopping 14 gildars. Then I try to propose her, she declines as I'm not famous enough. So, I spot a bear cub and some spiders and we whack them to oblivion, level up and then she agrees. Cool. I then begin to inspect my sov's spouse... Let's see: She's royalty, got the looks, ok stats and a special ability... DOMINATIO
Seems like my video problems start if I reload a game, unless I restart the program.
Ooooooh it's finally here! My limited-boxed-uberthingy serialcode is here! Downloading now. [e digicons][/e]
I need my key... Need something to spice up my workday. [e digicons]X([/e] Also, when I get the key, will I just insert it somewhere in Impulse and voila! Able to download? Don't see anything even hinting to my purchase there yet in Impulse. Got the confirmation e-mail back in august 12th though. [e digicons]x_x[/e]
I bet one of the first issues the mod community focuses on is how the sovs look. I mean, how hard is it to make a hair/face/beard model for Tauron. [e digicons]:D[/e]
Looks like the AI, while still in development, already is more than a match for many players.
Well there is life on this world too... Just living my life as always, doing chores. [e digicons]^_^[/e]
Well in my opinion, if flying units are implemented someday, they should at least be very rare, expensive, hard to come by and few in numbers. I'm glad the game is unrealistic. I'd hate to drive my Sovereign to work every day with his horse on the highway and then have him sit in his office for 8 hours, only to have him drive back to home after the work all tired and then fall to bed. So a lesser adjective would be "great"? [e digicons];)[/e] I agree, the words and phrases used occasionally seem out of place and a bit blunt... Also, browsing through screenshots also reveals typos here and there (eg. one hero -> many heroes... not heros and shear -> sheer, would be more like it). But heck, I could be wrong and who am I to say anything about your grammar, english is anything but my native language. [e digicons]:)[/e] </p
