I really like the ideas proposed. It would definitely add some more depth to the strategy, specifically in the territory area beyond where should I plunk my city.
Regarding the forums, I like the new look but every forum category I click takes me to Dev journals everytime, I can't access anything else. Is anyone experiencing this issue or is it just me ?
I've been having the same issues. Some others have had it too. Not sure if it's just a small group or not.
Two threads, including this one, have shown up on the Dev Journal section of the Elemental site. Looks like they're doing some site redesign and have gotten a few things crossed.
How do I go about running E:WoM in a window(windowed mode?) using windows 7?
I don't have Win 7, but it should be the same regardless. You can change it from with the video options inside the game. From the main screen click on Options. Go to the Video tab. There should be a button that says Use Fullscreen. Uncheck that. Also, set the resolution to a lower setting so it doesn't take up the whole screen. Go back to the
At this point I've gotten several OOM errors. I've stopped posting them because it seems you were getting a good flow of them. It seems a few others may have stopped posting, just thinking we're getting more of the same My question is what is most helpful to your development teams right now? For those who have already posted, is every save and debug.err file helpful to you and should we keep posting them? Is there anything you would like us to test specifically right now (sound off, e
I loaded the previous Auto Save from before having that trouble and it hangs and it seems that as soon as I tell my Sovereign to move onto the tundra, I'm no longer to proceed to the next turn. I can change orders for everyone, but it doesn't help.
I'm unable to proceed to my next turn in this Save. Clicking on the next turn button doesn't resolve anything. Closing the program and loading the save is the same. The program may be waiting for some input or a unit may need to be given an order, but if so I'm not aware of it. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2831667/Can%27t%20Continue%20Turn.EleSav
I think I got something, maybe. I took a video of this: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9578304/ramloss.avi Please observe how I can make it jump 3 MB in usage every time I press the design units button, even though it's displaying the same exact thing every time.
I can confirm the same on my 32 bit Vista machine, just by starting a new game and clicking on Kingdom Info. Each time I click on Design Units memory go
As far as the 32 or 64 bit question, I have gotten two OOM errors on the same save/game and this is a 32 bit Vista machine (files are in a post I created about the issue before a dedicated thread got established). Going to be doing some more testing to see what happens.
Here's the closest save: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2831667/AutoSave.EleSav And here's the previous save: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2831667/PreviousAutoSave.EleSav
Yeah, I'll grab it when I get home this evening and post it.
Windows Vista 32 bit. 2 GB of RAM. At time of crash program was using 1.7 GB. Has happened twice tonight. This was the second time after reopening the game. Maybe made it 10 - 15 turns farther than the last time. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2831667/debug.err http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2831667/Elemental0_98-2010-07-29T22-46-39-524.dmp
