I wonder if it's possible to start a siege and then move your units away? If so this would be a pretty major bug/exploit. Best regards, Steven.

Good points. [e digicons][/e] If and when the game is ready, co-op multiplayer could be really cool, but I agree, it's not worth focussing on for a while yet. =) Best regards, Steven.
Good multiplayer in general would be a start...
Yes definitely! =) But I think some good built-in co-op campaigns, and the ability for players to create their own, could be unique and a way to stand out, and a more "singleplayer" focus than traditional PvP. =) Read: IMHO more likely than a big focus on competitive multiplayer. ;-) Best regards, Steven.

A co-op campaign for a future Elemental release would be a cool idea if possible, and done well, could really make Elemental stand out, especially since the game Elemental is much more suited to co-op multiplayer than PvP! [e digicons]:D[/e] What do others think? [e digicons]:star:[/e] Best regards, Steven.

Later versions of FFH2 and its modmods were able to give different attack and defense values, yes. (And it may have been in Civ4:Beyond the Sword, which the later versions of FFH2 were based on.) Best regards, Steven.

I agree! Derek, can you provide some hooks for linkable maps? That means, you can concentrate on what you do best, and modders can do what they do best - expanding the game in innovative, non-standard ways, that are just not feasible for core releases with limited resources. So you can make a chocolate cake, and the modders can put a delicious and adventurous icing on top. ;-) Modding can increase a huge amount if the modders are given enough interesting hooks, whereas

I really like HOMM2 - especially with the currently actively developed fheroes2 open source mod project . =) Best regards, Steven.

If you want to try it out: Get a HOMM2 directory (preferably PoL) and extract all the files and folders from the fheroes2 zip into it (you can skip or rename the readme.txt if you want since HOMM2 probably already has a readme.txt). If you want customized stats (including from the HOMM2 Mod, changes listed here - I have also made a few tweaks of th

For fans of turn-based strategy: fheroes2 (based on HOMM2 - but much better =)) has heaps of new features, including high resolution (more map showing at once, battle map fitting "inside" fantasy map/world), garrison and visiting heroes, wait and skip (defend) function in battle and an option to automatically move onto the square you attack - for enemy heroes and attacking towns and castles (not including wandering monsters since they really attack you after you move in range rather t

Go the end of the post you want to give Karma for. Click the "thumbs up icon", then fill in the description and click "give karma". That's it. =) For the main topic, the "thumbs up" icon is always visible. For replies, you need to move the mouse cursor into the post, and the thumbs up icon will appear next to the report button. Make sure you don't click "report" by accident though. =) Best regards, Steven.

Great ideas! [e digicons]k1[/e] I encourage Stardock to take a good look at them. =) Btw: sorry I didn't see them earlier, Glowing Ember. Best regards, Steven.

Yes, in HOMM lots of units stack, but not in Elemental. Best regards, Steven.

Could the heavy armors have a penalty to strategic and tactical movement, and the light armors have a bonus? (This may have been mentioned before, but I think if lighter armors could move further and heavy armors have a penalty to movement, ie. lower strategic movement and a higher AP cost for tactical movement, this could provide a cool partial counterbalance to the "always get the heaviest armor you can afford" problem.) Along with some minor but influential changes to the w

I think the reason % damage reduction if defense exceeds attack works in HOMM because weaker units have a weaker base attack in terms of damage, and stronger units do more base damage. Since Elemental doesn't have different base damages, % damage reduction won't work in Elemental. Best regards, Steven.
Armor in Elemental is broken. It makes dodge pointless, makes only a few high dmg weapons viable, can easily make your units completly invincible, and makes monsters very UP etc.... They will probably solve this in the E:FE expansion. For E:WOM what I would like to see is a decrease in the dmg reduction of armor so it's not 1:1 with attack. 0.75:1 seems about right. To balance this increase hp by a bit. That way armor is still go

I'd like that too. Plus, if they were actually played out, they are probably more likely to reflect an outcome closer to that you would get if you played it through manually. =) Best regards, Steven.

Stardock, please consider making at least *some* balance changes for battles with WoM. While it's one thing that FE is going to be cool, I don't think it's good for anyone (players, prospective purchasers or Stardock) if pretty much everyone shelves the current game because of glaring areas that could use a thoughtful, effective, simple fix. Stardock, could you consider this? [e digicons]:D[/e] Best regards, Steven.
