Please rethink making MP a cut-down version of SP. At the very least, make a co-op mode with all SP functionality, and how about having battles involving more than two sides? What about allies being able to join in battles with their team-mates? It would be fantastic if you could balance well, having 2 players vs 2 players in the one battlefield, for example. And this
Excellent ideas, guys. Best regards, Steven.

And this would fit a lot better with Elemental being a game that suits co-op MP much better th
I agree that Elemental is just not the kind of game that suits competitive multiplay. Please give us all singleplayer options in co-op, or you will just be repeating the mistakes of WoM. "If you play MP we will extend it, but sorry, it's just not deep or fun enough to play now, so not enough people will bother to play it, so it will never be extended." Well, I think it's safe to say that Elemental: War of Magic is never going to fixed enough to live up to expectations. That's fixed and unchangeable. But there a lot of good things coming through about FE, including not having a retail release so they are not chained to a certain date. And I think that the community *and* Stardock itself will be working together to make sure that when it is released, it is fantastic . Fingers crossed.
Sorry, a bit of a tangent, I know. Just meaning, one's company does not have to act like a faceless megacorporation to make money. If FE and Stardock's future games succeed, it could make more money in the medium to long term than if they just dropped any game that had a bad release, or tried to be over-restrictive about where games could be played or played on what. Best regards, Steven.
Money is not everything. If Stardock's Fallen Enchantress goes well, and there are very positive signs that it will, Stardock will have gained something much more important - trust and goodwill in the eyes of many. And they may well, after the lessons they've learned and after the games department gets back in the black, do better then if they'd just cut their losses and run. It's good to be the publisher as well as the developer, and to have stable income from other sources
What an idea! Great stuff, a simple and extremely effective way of getting more RPG and personality into the game, and making us care about our heroes. People, give this guy some karma! [e digicons]k1[/e] Best regards, Steven.
There is a lot of profiteering in Australia. Then they say they want to lower the GST (a tax on the value of a good or service) exemption from $1000 to $0 on international purchases. And you know who are the ones calling for that to be changed. ;-) [e digicons];P[/e] Best regards, Steven.
Are there going to be horses and other types of riding mounts in FE? Best regards, Steven.
Just don't install Google Chrome during the install process, and your CCleaner will be good to go. =) Best regards, Steven.
Yeah, I don't think AI Sovereigns, spouses and champions have ever got stat increases or new gear (or the ability to use stat booster items) in all of E:WOM up til now. Definitely something that needs to be fixed as soon as feasible. Best regards, Steven.
quoting post He suggested that tactical combat could go from being so-so to great just by adding more special abilities to combat. In his opinion the biggest issue with tactical combat was that there weren't many options. Given more things to do, combat becomes more interesting and more strategic. Interesting, I was suggesting exactly this in 2009: https://forums.elementalgame
Yes, this definitely needs to be fixed. It's no good if the "select a unit for spell" feature is not working as it should, as it's pretty much a given that a feature like this exists (and works) in games with stacks. Best regards, Steven.
Good stuff. =) I hope they fix the lighting before the 1.2 release... Best regards, Steven.
Well, my best luck for you. =) But hopefully, if someone else isn't responsible and gives it to you, Stardock may (maybe) might have liked your quest so much that they'll send you another copy. At least as long as the prize wasn't too expensive... Anyway, hopefully you still will get your original parcel/prize. =) Best regards, Steven.
Or I could Scroogle it! ;-) Best regards, Steven.
Sad is in the tear of the cryer. =) What I like about the Stardock forums is they feel a bit like a home on the internet. People can be just a little irreverent at times, but there are a lot of good people who have their home away from home here too. =) ;-) Best regards, Steven.
Well, I've uninstalled Google Chrome, so at least that's something. ;-) Maybe I should uninstall Google Earth too? Best regards, Steven.
While, since FE seems to be basically a re-write, they can write things better in Round 2. ;-) Best regards, Steven.
Maybe Stardock can do that kind of AI in a RTS game. =) Good ideas frequently can come back if they are remembered by at least some. ;-) Best regards, Steven.
You're the one with the dirty mind. [e digicons]:-"[/e] That's "Steven" for "Steven" and "Aus" for "Australia" (no, not Austria). Best regards, Steven.
Good lord, what is going on in this thread?! Regarding 'More FE Info', you'll find the flow of big information to be through more 'big-name' channels (the gaming mags and websites) than in a random journal here. Ironically, however, we just wrapped up some marketing stuff this week, so that should be finding its way out shortly
Only your typical stuff on Stardock Elemental Channel. ;-) (Note this message does no
I agree, that would be a bad idea. Decrease in performance, not fixed, bad idea. [e digicons]:\[/e] Best regards, Steven.
