assassins can spike pretty hard with heartseeker, and some bloodrage casts. there is also another cheaper weapon that gives a +250 percent crit damage effect and +15 percent chance, though with less damage(but you have bloodrage.) Assassins can def be useful in the right circumstances, you people need to stfu. Mages have an instakill spell, with death magic. That's pretty strong. Commander specials are good as well.
Properly trained and equipped, Henchmen are the best units in the game.
so are they identical to champions, and can also equip gear you find? Or are they stuck with the gear they are trained with?

thanks. So basically -if I am right and henchmen have access to all the same trees as regular champions, admittedly I've never played them- the Altar have access to some pretty interesting champion stacks.

I know at least one of the recruitable champs(or maybe it was an NPC champ) comes with the general trait, so say does that stack with the sovs general trait (if present?) or would multiple champs/henchman with the commander trait bonus to army XP stack with eachother?

woah, slow down there cowboy. We don't want Stardock feeling too loved just yet. "Revenge of the Sith" was better than "The Phantom Menace", but "Revenge of The Sith" was still a pretty bad movie. Luckily for Stardock, Gal Civ 2 was more "Annie Hall" than "A New Hope". Lets just hope that they pull it together and put out their "Midnight In Paris" So what I'm saying(isn't it obvious?) is that you should be saying something more along t

that's nice. Make sure you go back to work once the kids are in school though. A ways back I remember hearing a co worker complain about putting in 16 hour days while his wife sat on her ass with the kids in school, not even cleaning the house. Make the marriage work! And that goes for the stay at home dads out there too! Don't be lazy as f*ck; and always remember, being a parent is the easiest thing you will ever do! Hire Shigeru

I was saying that Stardock's formula and/or the implementation of their formula failed them, strongly. This is very true. RTS combat in a fantasy TBS is a great wet dream. There are a lot of things that would need to be addressed though. Do champions fight on their own, with a in

I am not suggesting that this game be edited to include real time combat.. I will suggest that WOM was a complete failure at launch- and that the latest iterations of the engine are still only decent- though. Low budget games can be great (see gal civ 2 or Sins). This game was not, and is not. It still looks as if it was made in 1998. Stardock needs to deliver some new hotness, to be honest. They have a man who breathes, eats and sh*ts excellence in Soren Johnso
Tactical but quick turn-based combat a'la Master of Magic was an essential part of WoM/FE/LH from the get go and I must say your suggestion is probably the weirdest I have ever read on the forum. How RTS is supposed to fit this game and playstyle is totally beyond me. Stardock is not a pure game developer and developing/publishing niche games is only part of its corporate strategy. Trying to do an AAA+ game with an AAA+ bud

you people are crazy. Master of Orion 2 had better turn based combat than this game, and that came out.... when we were all much younger people. Not gonna hate, I like game and I like the idea of the game, but Pokemon Red Version is about on par in its combat to this game. Stardock needs to take out a huge ass loan and really put some flash into one of their games. Hire professional animators, artists, game designers(only joking on this one, I kno

heroes can use the best weapons and can get the stacking initiative/attack damage enchants. heroes can crit. Heroes can penetrate most of the defenses(assassin path) with any weapon type Plus late game almost never happens from my experience. and doesn't a single stronger attack go through defenses better than several weaker ones? Not sure about this. I'm not saying that heroes SHOULDN'T be balanced late. just that the issue is irrelev
