Soren should be calling all the shots imo. He is a legend. I like FFH, and really enjoyed playing it. It was great and Kael seems like a nice/smart guy, but Soren Johnson is the Michelangelo/ Da Vinci of game design. He was lead designer of Civ 4. Frogboy. you yourself have designed a good game before with Gal Civ 2, though tbh you did dud it up to the max with the original Elemental. As someone who was once a successful and competent game designe

units seem to be stronger then heroes late game- much so before magic- which would seem to relegate casters to buff bots late game. I was playing as GIlden and at the end of the tech tree companies had a attack value of like 200 plus and some crazy defense as well. No champion of any level can compete with that. I'm not sure if this is a balance issue but I would like to see more champ damage scaling based off of level.

It's a numbers thing, male gamers on this site outnumber girls, maybe, 5000 to 1. and even worse is when guys pretend they don't care, because they think it gets them on her 'good side'... Elemental: D. Not a great game. I had way less bugs the last time I played it though, so technically at least it is improving. I feel like the concept has potential and I'm looking forward to fallen enchantress. FFH was great. Everything needs to be revamped and fleshed out and this can be really cool. Certainly a lot of great gameplay ideas already in the game Civ 5: C+. A very playable game, but it's a complete regression from 4. I would rate it a bit higher if it wasn't a civ game

Didn't you in the past state that you had some issues with civ v do to its Steam distribution? Personally I dont really like either civ v or elemental right now. Civ iv and gal civ beat them both imo. That said, Civ V is more polished and less buggy then elemental, or at least when comparing their respective release versions(haven't played elemental in a while now). But I do want both games to succeed and do well as I bought them based off of previous good experiences with firaxis and

Having read Frogboy's journal entry, the one some call Shawn was pleased. Progress on the game was looking good. He was especially exited about the new recruitable races and creatures in the diplomacy tree.

Yes, one of them allows you to build a really powerful and relatively inexpensive unit in the city its built in........ the college of war. Another increases the mana regen of your casters by 2, which is a huge upgrade when you consider that base is one. I forget what this one is called. There may be others as well..... I only played as Kingdom, and I may be missing some. Butt yes there are also several that crank out resources.

I think that you look for different things in a game then I do OP. Admittedly the tactical battles in the beta are not great, but lets cut SD some slack, it is the beta. Things just aren't finished. Overall I would say the beta has a very betaish feel to it, and is not that enjoyable to me over an extended period of time. But based off of Gal Civ 2 and Sins. I trust SD. I enjoyed these games and elemental has a great design concept IMO.

to echo what some people have said earlier...... yes I care about achievements. That said I dont care about Xbox style achievements, as they are pointless imo. The reason I care about "achievements(or "wonders" in Civ) is they add to the game. I feel they add a lot of options and different ways of playing..... ways of increasing the overall power of your empire....... they add to the builder play style. I don't understand OP..... are you complaining about wonders or ar

Jafo, I dont understand where you are coming from. I have an opinion and its certainly a valid one. As far as me being single, yeah I am single, my last GF broke up with me last month. I do hate women, but I hate men in equal measure. Like them both too, but for me there's always both. The point I was making(Which you of course misinterpreted as blanket misogyny) is that life is a game, and for the most part people try to maximize the cards they are dealt. If a woman(or man) can get with a su

Such limited time monsters also shouldn't be able to heal, so that it would be worth it to actually battle them rather than just run away with all units.
Why, why not just balance them?
I have an idea for how Diplomatic Capital could be used in multiplayer. You could use it to force a player into something. This could work such that trading only Diplomatic Capital for something locks the player into agreement, but only if the percieved values are equal or your's is greater. If you use this method in a trade or treaty you can only use Diplomatic Captial to increase percieved value so that a player couldn't just trade one
