ModelScale (e.g. 0.5000 >) in the unit xmls works (at least, it does for sovereigns and champions). I haven't tried using UnitScale in the Race/RaceType xmls, but if that isn't working, I imagine you could modify ModelScale for the actual units (assuming you're copying from CoreUnits.xml to make your own).

Note: It looks like there's a bug that lets your gold go negative if you can't afford the city founding cost. I tried this with a cost of -500 and ended up with -400 gold but never saw the CityBuildNoMoney message from elemental.str.

From the PC Gamer review comments, people are more upset by the QT3 post than by problems with the product. Tom doesn't really sound biased, but I think he needs to fill in some of the details (e.g. link to forum posts about why MP is disabled and for how long). It's too bad that his rig is having so many conflicts with the game. I personally haven't seen a white screen (or had nearly as many crashes as he describes).

EDIT: The crash seems to be caused by standing in an army while casting Summon Wilding or Famine. If I move the sovereign to a separate tile, then both spells cast without crashing. --- I get a crash on Summon Wilding, but I'm getting a crash on Famine (summon troll?) now also. In 2B, if I set "Anti-Aliasing OFF" then try to take a print screen (Alt-PrtSc or PrtSc), the resulting screenshot is all black (the game screen looks fine). If I reset it to "2x", restart the game, and hit Alt-PrtSc again, the resulting screenshot is fine. Scenario: Click "Load Game". The Load menu appears, with the Main menu in the background behind it (normal). Double-click (quickly) to load the save that is in the same screen position as the "New Game" button.
