In Unit Details, mouse over "ATK". It shows the current Strength (as part of the formula for ATK). Same thing with DEF. I agree that the stats should be directly visible outside of the levelup screen, and the UI should make the effects of items more obvious at the time of use.

To reproduce from the attached save file: Select city (Ramuest). Select Markim and Rilis. Right click on Irane (attack). Markim+Rilis will exit the city and attack Irane. After the battle, click Done and the game crashes. Background: Immediately prior, Markim+Irane attacked and conquered the city (Ramuest), owned by Irane/Tarth. There were 2 NPCs in the city prior to conquering: The "AI Fighter" was ki

To reproduce: Give Longstrider Boots to Ebbenwolf. Select Ebbenwolf. The boots show up in the Items tab at the bottom of the screen. Open Unit Details. Go to the Equipment and Items tabs. The boots are not visible under any of the tabs. I would have expected one of: Error when trying to give boots to Ebbenwolf (can't use or carry items). Boots appear under Equipment/Items but are greyed out (
However, I am unable to move the window around. Can someone else test this after the game has been played for a bit
Try setting the resolution lower than your native resolution. This makes the title bar visible, and you can move it around. I think it's a bug with the windowed setting that doesn't take into account the title bar (which ends up off the screen in native resolution). Figured that out while trying to reproduce the other problem. [q

If a popup (e.g. Research Breakthrough, Book at game start) is covering the center of the screen and you mouse over an NPC on the map behind it, the cursor icon changes to crossed swords. When you move the mouse off the NPC, the cursor icon remains crossed swords, regardless of the mouse location, until the popup closes. At this point, it returns to the default "leaf". Note: This is only cosmetic. The swords icon can still be used to select X/Close/Continue.

The current ESC key behavior is confusing and inconsistent: Hitting ESC while a popup is open appears to do nothing until the popup closes. Then the Options menu pops up, which is confusing. Exception: In some cases, ESC immediately closes the popup and opens the Options menu, which is inconsistent. Ex: the "Kingdom Report" popup. The following would be more intuitive: If any </

There is 3rd-party software like Ultramon (shareware) that lets you bind a key to lock the mouse to the current window. It was a little clunky the last time I used it (~a year ago), but it's nice for apps that don't support dual monitors (i.e. apps that don't know to lock the mouse to the app in full screen mode). I think there's free software that does something similar. The second thing you're looking for (extending the

Click on the NPC, then go to the bottom and click on the Recruit button. It's a little clunky. Hence the suggestion to streamline via a context-sensitive menu that appears when clicking on the NPC.

Yea, I tried using the /w switch, but the "X" is still invisible. If the book could be closed via the keyboard, it would at least make it playable despite issues with the graphics card. Guess I'm using the desktop for the beta. I was hoping to take the laptop to show my friend, but that's not going to work. I hope it's fixed by release though. It's a fairly new graphics card model, and I'm not the only one (or the only notebook) that's using it.

If 2 NPCs are standing in the same square, you can only select one of them. This happened once with 2 recruitable NPCs and once with a troll+recruitable NPC. The icons that allow you to select individuals in a stack don't seem to appear unless the NPCs are already yours.

Yea, the mini-menu would be intuitive, ala Civ IV's Shift-Leftclick, except: Left-click = Select Unit (then click actions at bottom) Right-click = Attack if hostile (spider/etc.). If neutral, show mini-menu (below). Shift-click = Show mini-menu. This lists all actions available at bottom (Details, Attack, etc.). This makes "What can I do with X?" more immediately to the user because he's focused on the mouse (not the bottom of the screen).<

Options -> Video -> "Max Texture Atlas Size" is uneditable in-game due to the graphics issues. I tried editing Prefs.ini, but it doesn't appear to work (the value shown in Options -> Video is unchanged after saving Prefs.ini and starting the game). I've tried: MaxTextureAtlasWidth=512 MaxTextureAtlasHeight=256 MaxTextureAtlasWidth=256 MaxTextureAtlasHeight=128 MaxTextureAtlasWidth=800 MaxTextureAtlasHeight=600 Note: The car

There is no "X" to close the book on my screen. Compared to the OP: IMHO, ESC should close the book. I tried several keys but could find no way to close it via the keyboard. Win 7 64-bit Nvidia GeForce 310M (notebook) - latest manufacturer drivers (via Samsung) <p
