Another game coming up soon focused on tactical battles. Here is a video: Link and here is a demo including 4 missions link have to admit, quite nice and impressive with number of choices, and with good AI.

Inspired loosely by tactical battles of XCOM and boasting very cool fully destructible environment this game deserves a close look: LINK
Jafo: following your line of reasoning, if it is really by GUI that system is judged, and the fact that the very next generation likes this kind of GUI, perhaps the Win8 will pass into history as groundbreaking and revolutionary MS system :) Second, i thought we are talking on Elemental-website, did not know elemental is about win-modifications. Third, paradoxically, Win8 made me buy the only software from Stardock i am actually using, namely Start8 :)

Many times for fighting on the roads you get penalized by loss of mp depending on a territory, as if road did not exist. It varies also if you auto-resolve or not.
There are numerous surprisingly detailed bug reports on the forum. The bad thing is that bugs are not acknowledged, let alone fixed. I would expect that testers take over, trying to reproduce the behavior, maybe asking questions, and then passing "tickets" on to the developers with sufficient detail.
Agree. Following FE development for two years, and some bugs are immediately acknowledged, meanwhile others are totally and systematical
Currently, if you move in tactical, even if you had movement points left, you are stuck wherever you moved to. You essentially get one move. Either use up all your movement points or you're screwed. Why can I not move a couple squares, and then a couple more? Since lots of the posts mention pathfinding i thought i will provide a link with a detailed list of annoying path-bugs, at least those i have identified. Here is a link: https://forums.elementalgame.com/435933
1) Pathfinding Especially when you go out of a city and missing road for some strange reasons 2) Roads Not only that they go through lairs, but also this: new city/outpost always creates a road only to one city. If i have a cities A and B not connected by the road, and then i build an outpost between them the road will go only to one of the cities. Similarly, if i have a number of cities in a shape of circle and i build a city right at the center of the circle it will

Sad, though, that the bug reported for two years has never been solved, or at least, acknowledged by devs as 'known is
The issues with path-finding caused me to take some break from FE ... Especially on the roads and coming out of a city.
Interesting new game with a free demo available. Similar somewhat to the Battle of Wesnoth (except possibilities to play with terrain modification) and is focused on tactical turn-based battles. Looks very promising. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1426761469/telepath-tactics/?ref=kicktraq
I liked the movie, though i did not like much action scenes. I enjoyed non-actions part mostly - dwarf intro scene, gollum's riddles, trolls, and i have to admit that dragon is depicted brilliantly. Meanwhile battles, running through mines etc. felt kind of forced to me, and very similar to LOR's scenes. It feels like, i have seen it already....

The only factor is how much hp/mana battl

I guess you can just sell unIDed stuff you're not going to use anyway, which is what I do, but the inventory feels small, and the inability to easily go back to sell 'junk' makes me sad.
Because game discourages you from selling 'junk' :
I used to play a lot Quake 3 cpma mode, and i developed a taste for fast and totally skilled based shooters, hence, I do not enjoy much Battlefield nor COD. Recently i have discovered Shootmania, paid for the instance beta access and I really enjoy it. Game is simple, not many guns, but with many fun modes and lots of skills involved to master. It is pure shooting, pure as it gets. Thought game a little bit simplistic in the beginning (you cannot change your weapon for most of t

They removed all the attributes like "Stength" due to this motto, since the Strength score wasn't important, it was the modules it affected that was important. The problem is, they only really had this motto during 1 month removing stuff, then they kind of forgot about it and left it there. Well thats my grumpy post written while in pain for more gr

Once i had a neighbor that was pushing his pioneer through my territory - every turn i had to tell them to leave .... Very, very annoying.
