That's basically what I'm experiencing as well.

I also noticed that the game menus will become extremely choppy and near un-navigable if I spend more than a few minutes in the sovereign creation screen. So, I guess it's not just tactical battles. And again, the biggest problem is not the gameplay itself but windows such as diplomacy, shop, level up screen, and game menus.

My problem was not resolved with the latest patch, unfortunately. In another thread you told a person with similar symptoms to update video drivers, mine are current as far as I know so I'm at a loss.

I've been getting this since the pre day zero version, and I have a friend who seems to be getting it as well. I'm not sure if it's tactical battle related or what, but after a while the game experiences a lot of slowdown. The game itself gets pretty choppy, but the shop, diplomacy, and post battle/level up screens are really what become unbearable. The strange thing is that the game doesn't crash (no OOM messages or anything) and restarting doesn't help. Even if I res
