[1.06] Unplayable after a while, no OOM error

I've been getting this since the pre day zero version, and I have a friend who seems to be getting it as well.  I'm not sure if it's tactical battle related or what, but after a while the game experiences a lot of slowdown.  The game itself gets pretty choppy, but the shop, diplomacy, and post battle/level up screens are really what become unbearable.  The strange thing is that the game doesn't crash (no OOM messages or anything) and restarting doesn't help.  Even if I restart, the opening movie and main menu are extremely choppy, and a computer reboot is needed to fix the problem.  Recently, I tried avoiding tactical battles as much as possible, but it still occurred.  Also, though this may be my imagination, it seems that saving before/after tactical battles exacerbates the problem, but I can't be sure.  I'd be happy to try different settings, they are mainly default at the moment.  Here is my latest debug file.  Thanks.

If you were experiencing slowdown and/or white screens after successive tactical battles, that should be resolved in last night's update.

My problem was not resolved with the latest patch, unfortunately.  In another thread you told a person with similar symptoms to update video drivers, mine are current as far as I know so I'm at a loss.

I confirm what you are saying. Updating the drivers initially solved the problem, but after 20-30 turns of game it came again.

I also noticed that the game menus will become extremely choppy and near un-navigable if I spend more than a few minutes in the sovereign creation screen.  So, I guess it's not just tactical battles.  And again, the biggest problem is not the gameplay itself but windows such as diplomacy, shop, level up screen, and game menus.

a possible memory leak ?

When I restart my computer I can play again my savegame for several turns (~30-50), then the problem appears again.
