So perhaps revisit the spawning of objects so that some low % show up in foreign territory, just fingertips away from your grasp....perhaps even have an advisor popup to make a note of the situation. Anyways, just rambling. thanks aga

I would love to see more variations of these used in-game. Right now there's only Kingdom and Empire, but you could easily extend it to have some nations spread an arctic environment, or a desert. Another improvement to this would be that environm

I like to play the game as much diplomatically as I can. You see this game was marketed as a TBSRPG, as such my roleplaying is peace until w2ar is declared upon me. I do not just make war against all. I have been strongly disappointed in the ability of the AI to interact with one another. The extent of AI interactions seems to have on declared war verses another then then they attack each other until one side's Soveriegn is dead. I

I have been disappointed with the lack of a finished game. but am holding out for 1.1. I have quit playing Elemental altogther for the time being, but on the positive side the game had enough inspiring potential to cause me to dig out my AOW:SM (Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic) CD and reinstall it. Despite the lack of support for modern widescreen montiors it runs amazingly well on patch 1.3 with Win7 64-bit. The Scenarios stitched together into a campaign do a surpri

I like the tech trees, each one and each level gained is not overpowering and they should not be, but the Kingdom equipment trees needs some lovin, even if to make it progressive. Please do not leave it regressive as it is now regarding Maces -> warhammers.

These are all good thoughts! I too wished the Barter system was to a greater degree more widely implemented as well as inflation. Only a couple of you touched on the idea or concept of monetary pool expansion and the inflation which it creates. I think it is important to continue to share your thoughts on these subjects for the 1.1 version and beyond of this game. Consider the fantasy history behind the game...

[quote who="Heavenfall" reply="4" id="2802932"]The people who are unhappy don't stick around, they go away. Hopefully they'll return if/when the game improves. I don't think the community has "matured" in any sense of the word, I still see people with valid complaints get hammered by fanboys. If anything those who are too disappointed have simply given up posting, for now, leaving a disproportionate amount of fanboys left. I, for one, do not consider it civil towards the

But what do you all view money to be? represent? Is it just the coins and rare metals its made of or is it something more? If you think it is a medium to exchange goods and service, then what does the medium represent? And Thus from understanding this does it make sense how it is obtained?

I mainly use Champions and imbue them and level them up in a single stack with summoned creatures then when I have enough, fork them off into two stacks then 3. I never have too much of a shortage of gold but then I'm not buying much anymore either.

I do not work to work but I still want to eat and have an internet connection go skiing and entertain myself and family... somethings are just mutually exclusive. Add more AI's so you can take one over and have its gold mines. Problem solved - Q.E.D.

I thought is was a nice interview and I look forward to Brad's work on the mutlithreaded AI. The fundamental problem will be the balance of equipment stats and spell and the new combat engine. I hope the new AI work will occur AFTER teh balance work and not BEFORE or concurrent with as it will likely make the AI lousy all over again if the Game parameters change after the AI changes. (note: in 1.09e the AI is still quite lousy when it is threatened.)

I have gotten by with as few as one gold mine on a large map but it does force me to rely on summoned army stacks. I have taken out an AI Sov Empire and got his 4-6 Gold Mines and that usually did the trick for me. Ofc , this was on Ridiculous setting and yes it was ridiculous but hey I knew upfront what I was likely to be in for. What was more ridiculous was the enemy Sov not even trying to fight me once I bega

As long as he/she is a finisher then you and he/she will make an innovative and amazing team. Brad, you are a great "Starter" and have awesome vision for what could be. But you probably are already aware that your weakness is finishing that which you start. One must possess the fincancial resources to even begin in this industry and even if I had yours, I would not want to produce games.
