How strange. Guess I'll keep trying then. Didn't see a save attached to the other thread so I'll attach my save. Save game

I tried to load my saved game and all seemed to go well - except now I'm left with just the scroll background and the main theme music...and no entering the game. Debug.err attached
It's just poorly documented. You need to increase your quest level through research i think they way this was handled before was better.. as you leveled up adventure new quest locations became available..
This would make sense. It would be like learning about the various places of interest in the world so they can then be explored and plundered interacted with.<
Okay, thanks. Maybe I should report this as a Demigod bug then because that game does put the borders around it (thin borders, but they are there) :)
The question mark is in there because I don't know if this is a bug or not. Let's say, like now, I'm running a 1280x1024 desktop. If I set the game to be windowed mode and the resolution to 1280x1024, the game will end up being fullscreen anyway. However, if I set it to 1024x768, then it will be in a window. Not sure if this is a bug or no, but I figure I'd report it and await dev. response. Debug.err attached
I'm still seeing this too. Also, for me it always runs in fullscreen regardless if I check or uncheck the fullscreen option before restarting.
What size window are you using? If it's the same size as your resolution (for example, my desktop is 1280x1024 so if my window is 1280x1024 - it will come out fullscreen anyway (bug?) If I put the window at 1024x then it will be a window.

We'll have to throttle things further next week. I'm running a P4 3ghz, 2GB RAM, ATI4670 w/1GB, Win XP 32bit - if that's too fast for a new game now a days, that's a new one on me! Glad I'm not the only one. Still happens for me, not only for kingdom info but also researching spells and tech. Debug.err attached
You have the same sound card I have (well, except mine is external, but it's a SB Live! 24-bit Maybe try usbaudio.sys (the generic MS driver) and see if it clears it up? I still get stutter but with the driver off the disc for my card it was, literally, unplayable.
I get lag/stutter just as much as before (including music). I guess I could go back to putting my sound driver on and see. Maybe now it would work better. Then again, my laptop worked fine with very much lower lag/stutter so who knows (haven't updated it to .806 on my laptop yet)
Was just about to ask this and report it as a bug
These values are stritctly relative, I think. Slapping some leather on a guy/girl and handing him/her a club - that shouldn't exactly be all that "hard" to do, imo.
Carbon Lifeform V-Ger used Carbon Unit, it's definitely fitting
Heh, true, but - if we call "Men" as "Carbon Units" or "Carbon Lifeforms" are we suggesting that Trogs and Wraiths are NOT made from Carbon? Hmm....might explain why Trogs are grey and Wraiths are paper white. They have a different mineral and chemical makeup.
Why not "Meatbags" instead?
Or Carbon Lifeform. Wait...that might be TOO generic :) Besides, if I want a female kingdom/empire, can't I just: -Create a female soverign -Take Egalitarian for my custom faction -Hire only female NPCs -Design female warriors Done and done, right? First time encountering this. It crashed during world generation. I've loaded this save before successfully. debug.err is linked Save game is linked I tried finding those .zip files talked about, but my path is different than what's in the screen shot (I have /Program Files/Stardock Games/Elemental, not /Program Files/Stardock

debug.err linked Got it again, and notice the corruption is also on the images for the NPC cards that show up when you hover your mouse over the NPC on the map. The portrait will already have corruption.
Try uninstalling, totally cleaning off the driver, rebooting, then reinstalling your driver. I had this problem in Demigod with my nVidia card, but the problem was a driver issue. I change driver versions and had no problems. Also, is your card overclocked? Perhaps it's clocked too high. I've had the problem too. My card is factory OC'd, but when I tried to push it even further, I'd get blue screens once in a while in games.

System restart didn't do anything for me. It was actually my sound card driver, but getting an OLDER GENERIC driver fixed it (by fixed I mean to where it's just sometimes slow/choppy like mentioned above. Not sure how or why. My sound card functionality isn't hurt either, in fact, I can now use Audacity to record. Anyway, it's the multi-threading thing? Does that mean you'll have to have a dual core to run this game eventually (because I don't :( ), or will this clear up/provisions ma
