A diplomatic feature that could be neat (especially in MP) would be to have a treaty (why not an additionnal option of the trade treaty) to buy stuff from the foreign shop while on it's territory. Let's imagine you have longbows while noone else does. Yo could sell the right to buy stuff in your land and hence sell bows to your allied (you wouldn't sell it to just anyone xD) champions. How about a tax on every transaction ? :p -------- Another thing that could be

Anyone else unable to train any archer units? I can design till my heart's content, but they never show up as an option to actual train. An archery range is required to train them. But the building seems missing from the kingdom. It works fine with empire.

I could buy Elemental only thanks to stardock plateform, because there is no box in Europe. It's quite similar :p Anyway, the need to be online to play sucks, above all for a game that rich in single player... I hoped I could play it at university during breaks, but obviously I won't xD I'll play elemental instead :p

I just thought it could be fun to have real "choices" in the techs selection. Let's imagine you have techs A and B, with A unlocking A1 and A2, B unlocking B1 and B2. If you pick A, you can never pick B anymore (hence B1 oe B2). Could be a way to further specialize your civ depending on the resources (mines, farms or materials) it has around for the green tree, specialize into some kind of strategies/equipments in the red one (swords over maces for example), into a branch of spellbooks, etc.

The point is people need others to think they made the best choice. They can't just consider a game "the best" if not everybody thinks so, they need others to agree with them. The same kind of discussion happened when Aion came. I was a fan of Lineage II and just thought it was a great improvement and was just happy with it. But there was that Aion vs WoW crap. Because those who chose WoW over Aion couldn't just play WoW, they needed to prove their choice was best. And so did those who chose

I'll go for both, even though I'm not rich :p I've bought all the "MoM" likes so far, including Age of wonders series and elemental. There are good mods in civilization for the "fantasy" flavour, but they have gameplay constraints and graphics inheritage that make them somehow awkward, even though there are very good ideas. I still have high hopes in Elemental because it has so many good ideas and it is dedicated to them, it's not just a mod :p. It feels a little bit awk

I don't mind the game being released early, much less when pre-orders could download every version before (I enjoyed even the most earliest builds xD keep making early betas it's great to participate, even so little, into the making of a game !). But I have been a little bit surprised because Frogboy kept telling us they were not in a hurry, being a small company, and wouldn't release it until they felt it's fully ready. Anyway I don't think those who complain about the game as it is were par

I did the beta for month, and paid long ago. I already didn't regret it during the beta and to me, release date didn't mean much except more features. I know it'll keep improving like it did past months and I'm in no hurry. All I hope is MP will be operational soon, so that I can convince some friends and relatives to get it, before civ 5 gets them whole :p

Actually I dunno if it's trying to win the game or not, but the stacks thing is quite true xD It's simple yet efficient against players who don't make stacks of armies and don't summon :p ... Diplomacy is not very intersting though, and the AI doesn't calculate the level of threat very well (it doesn't seem to know a channeler is more dangerous than he's mere combat stats xD). It may not be perfect, still I wouldn't call it bad ;)

Hi. I've read many reviews/threads complaining about the game as it is. I must confess there are many things I don't like either. But there is one thing I do like : modding. I mean, we can complain about balancing, suggest features or ask for others to be removed. Or we can mod it the way we want to play it ! Here is what I personaly would love to make : I would have the champion and sovereign aspects of the game separated. I mean, the game already lets you focus on one aspe

AI is good, and the game is quite good too, but all games look alike even with random maps. That's why I'd like to play it MP ! Also, my father, and probably my brother in law, sister and mother, would buy it if we could play it all together. But we're also planing to play Civ 5 together so, if MP doesn't come out before civ 5 ... I'm affraid nobody else here will buy the game and I'll be bound to play it alone T-T (or with strangers, which I don't really like)

I was wondering if tactical battles would allow more than two players to be involved in a battle or not. I mean, what's the point of military alliances if you can't give a hand in combats ? For instance, how would it work if I had an army stationed in an ally city ? It would then be intersting to have complementary armies, like the tarth horsemen and pariden spearmen fighting together against yithril archers and magnar swordsmen ? I like the way the Age of Wonders series handled that.

could be funny as a mod or MP mode to have some players be champions and others rulers. The former could get equipement in towns depending on the rulers techs/buildings, and work for the rulers. Rulers would build cities and armies ^^ Two major aspects of the game split for cooperation. Chapions could join a kingdom or remain mercenaries/free, offer their help for money.

The good news is that it no longer crashes after an ALT+TAB, the bad one is that it seems to turn the HUD off (I could no longer have the info floating above my cities :/). I haven't tried it again yet to see if it does it "everytime" (sorry I have few time this month :/) Again, I've read through the bugs report "titles", but I may have missed it, sorry if it was already reported somewhere... (it would be nice to have a more user friendly search engine on topics than to have to

I've had a quick look at the previous posts but I don't think it has been mentionned yet. Sovereign is 4 years old when it gives birth to his/her first child.... ! you have a 24yo sovereign with 20yo childs, I know it's a mage but, well... :p Sorry if it was already reported somewhere and I wouldn't have noticed.

I played both men and wraith. Kingdom was just like before, no problem with items, harbors or anything. As for empire, I unlocked most of the military techs without having the least armor item, even though I had some armor related breakthrough. Impossible to have any neither in shop, nor in unit design... I also had techs allowing lumbermill and harbor, but they never unlocked the actual buildings... Same with sorcery tower and many other buildings I could never build, even thoug

My leader had 15 INT and WIS. I cast a revive land spell (dunno yet if essence cost has something to do with the problem) and then enchant prod and brilliance on city, but mana never came back... couldn't cast any more spell (in 400 turns...) Actually it was written in character sheet mana regen : 0 :/

Intelligent use of spells for the AI is important. In Age of Wonders II, there was an air spell (high level) that would freeze the caster's land, useful for the frostlings but a real plague to others. Yet non frostlings players would cast it too just because it was a high level spell, and then starve to death ! Worse, your land too was affected if you were allied with them, making you unwilling to ally with wind magic AI players xD I have higher expectations on your AI ;)

Tactical combat in multiplayer is really my primary concern about the game because when there are more than two human players it may very well ruin the game to just sit and wait for other's combats to end, feeling helpless about how it goes and how long it lasts xD Most games tend to make tactical combats last one turn only but I do think it could be better to have them last potentially over many turns. For instance, each tactical combat could have X turns (let's call those X turns a
