Is it possible then so that when you kill a stack, or a random mob, you move into its square? So you can kill and loot in one turn? I always thought it was weird that in attacking them I didn't end up in their square once conquered. Chess has already implemented this feature .
Agree with this, as long as the conquered square is empty of enemies.

Really don't think Bows are all that underpowered. It's all in how you create the units. Put a Mancer (+1 Acc/level) or Tarth (Double Strike) on a Warg (+2 Init) with Fury (+1 Damage) Strength (+1 Damage) Fast (+2 Init) and Amulet of Haste (+2 Init) if you have the Crystal to spare. Occasionally Leather Armor if it doesn't add too much time to production. Athican is great if you have it just for the fire damage reduction.
One thing I never really understood in FE & LH is why you had to learn the Horse Tech before learning Warg Riding. Seemed silly to me. Would also have thought Horses would require Pastures from the Civ Tree, and Wargs having a similar pre-req, probably from the magic tree. Agree with the OP about the overabundance of mounts available w/o any disadvantage whatsoever in their use. Many ideas have been presented to balancing mounts in the past and have no desire to
Frogboy has already stated that there are still some development items that would be grandfathered back into FE.
I don't mind spears the way they are now, lining up a spear unit with 2 enemies can be more challenging than it sounds. I would have liked Spears (or high end spears) to have preemptive counter-attack during the first turn which would balance out the Charge ability which mostly favors mounted units.
I would agree that the production costs are whats keeping them from being expanded upon.
I had a cluster of 3/3/3 tiles that suddenly went 3/3/0. Wtf??
Nice find. I'm a fan of the old Shining Force console RPG style of games. The modding part of it looks pretty amazing as well.
Variations of this happen to me randomly in FE as well
Steam completely jacked up my LH order, so I can definitely sympathize with the OP. Would much rather DL direct from StarDock or even Good Old Games than Steam (PoS).
Steam totally screwed up my order of LH, am now waiting on a ticket resolution. Yay Steam .:I::
Let's just say Steam can kiss my @ss. My downloaded transaction with them is AFU. Brilliant.
Sounds great. Looking forward to the Beta. Only question I have is regarding Mounted Units. Currently in FE there is no reason not to start popping out mounted units. Has there been anything added to keep this from being a no-brainer? Reduced accuracy on horseback, additional damage taken from spears, etc..
Seeing this does remind me of one of the things I would like out of Governors. Players should not be able to see the stats of units sitting in a city. Governors should have an available ability that would give them the insight to discern what troops are stationed in a city as long as they have adjacency.
Nope. Brad stated that he wont code a single new line for the FE AI coz he is pissed that people still complain about a number of flaws it still has. He stated that if you don't like it the way it is then go fuck yourself and don't play his game although you have paid for it. Which is by the way the same thing that happened when folks complained about the GalCiv AI...
When people come at you u
I thought this looked like an interesting puzzle game. It's only like $5+ dollars and the game is already past it's goal so will definitely become reality. Check it out. Less than 30 hours left as I type this. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1216936499/back-to-bed-0
I agree with the OP (in spirit), though would like to chime in that the AI has gotten better each patch. It does make me sad seeing Archers targeted by Beguile and Web. I have faith it will get tended to ASAP when time permits. Brad & Co are busy folks.
Let's not forget Temple of Elemental Evil with the Circle of Eight patch/mod.
Quoting StevenAus, reply 10 Yeah, the AI still is a collector at the faction shop, certainly, with the amount of one type or the other of things it buys. I dont think that is an AI Problem, i pointed out a while ago in this thread (reply 12) that things get simply added to inventory after reloading, but unfortunately they could not reproduce this behavior :/
Interesting. I hadn't thought about it be
It's kind of hard to pick just one as TBS by genre has had some real stand outs Empire (Dos); All those Civ-Type games you came to love started from here SSI D&D Gold Box series; I still love me some turn-based RPG Original X-Com [Biggest influence on all TBS games released in the future] Warlords; First fantasy army TBS I can recall Master of Magic; Simply amazing, but so damn buggy, even after the patches Final Fantasy Tact
I asked about these before in the Mod forum and was pretty much told that the way the game works now it either can't be done, or at least not with the results I wanted. I've only dabbled with coding some stuff for FE, but these are some problems I've bumped up against; 1. I'm not really a fan of how all encompassing Beastmaster is. Lets say I wanted to target an Albino Rock Spider, which is currently classified as Creature Type "Beast",
I still have Magic Realm in the box with most of the contents still unpunched/untouched. The exterior box itself is pretty ragged from moving =/
Noticed the same thing. AI Sovereign also looks to have found/bought helmets but never equipped them
Don't think there's been any announcement about the impact to modding from the LH expansion. Not that I've seen so far.
PC Gaming is here to stay for at least another 5-10 years. I think the big thing of course will be in Monitors that have touch technology built-in. Natural evolution of the tablet influence on the PC market.
