Without Steam Achievements, who would actually play the Vanilla Sovereigns? [e digicons]:d[/e]

Dual Wielding Daggers should absolutely happen Dual Wielding Swords. Meh. I would rather see a trait that specializes in using sword One-Handed for a bonus in Damage/Dodge (When no Shield/Weapon slotted in the off-hand)
Anyone who complains about lack of communication and/or support from Stardock is delusional. Sitting at your computer desk playing video games and reading forums does not entitle you to a perfect world.
This I also find it hard to believe people are still whining in this thread.
I've noticed that Champions with XP Bonus traits/items (Tutelage, etc) gain more than 25 pts from Destiny's Insight. Not sure if that's WAI or not.
I really think the tax system needs some love. Currently I set tax to 'low' and don't need to change it the entire game.
Completely agree with this. Unrest is generally so high at Low the idea of pushing for more money by Taxation is hardly ever an option.
I would much prefer to pay a one time per square cost on building roads than to have yet another item requiring upkeep. As it is now there are hardly any times I'm able to move the Taxation beyond "Low". Ever. The counters to Unrest are limited.
Some of the StarDorkians had better be coming to PenguiCon this weekend or your Geek license will be revoked. That is all.. http://2013.penguicon.org/
He comes equipped with the Defender Path. In the skill tree is the ability to become proficient with Plate Mail. I assume taking this trait has no benefit whatsoever for Tuatha? I would propose then that if a Hero unit is purposely unable to use a Trait (like above), that the Trait in Question is "Blanked Out". Such that if the Trait is "blanked" it can be freely skipped over on the next trait selection. In Tuatha's case; coming from Defender II, hi
I'd expected a movement of 3, putting it on par with Wargs. Ascian's Maul ability is nice, would be even nicer if it could engage in combat before the 3rd round of combat. My current solution is to give it the Blink Ring, which is still kind of irritating
I've been complaining about this what feels like forever. I think the Enemy AI checks to see if a potential Hero is within movement range for recruitment (regardless of Terrain/Units blocking advancement, etc), if the Hero is within range, the AI hires the Hero BEFORE initiating movement to reach the Hero, THEN executes the Movement phase. This gives the AI Stack effectively a Dual Move (or Triple depending on your PoV) and an undefendable Hero location (AI Check ignor
Avast has a free Toolbar Removal Tool. I prefer to use software from companies I've heard of. It's labeled "Browser Cleanup" after the link http://www.avast.com/store
Has the issue with Enemies Razing cities been addressed? The whole Razing mechanic needs to be rethought.
Much of the really old Animation is still amazing when you consider each cell was hand drawn frame by frame. I believe it came out to 20 frames per second. Take a look at this Superman short from 1941. The fluidity of movement is still amazing and IMO better than most modern Anime/Cartoons
- remove armor piercing from spears and instead give it to maces.
I wouldn't have a problem with most of what you cited (I've suggested similar in the past), however there's no reason to dink around with Spears/Maces. They seem to work just fine vs. Armor.
I'd rather open road building Tech that could be attached to units I designed than to have the current system where the roads appear out of the ether in a manner that (far too often) doesn't make sense. Much like the OP mentioned.
The only way I can see the groups of 3 or less working is if Heroes didn't count against the group limit. Double-Strike works regardless of the number of units in the stack, you just lose the +3 attack/initiative bonus.
Not really liking the removal of encumbrance. Though I do like the requirement of Chain/Plate in the Hero skill tree. The problem in the skill tree (as mentioned elsewhere) is how long it takes to actually obtain skills due to the extremely slow leveling process.
Massively [joystiq.com]; They do a great job covering the MMO scene
1) The problem is how XP is now split. I agree with an XP split, but the existing split is a bit harsh. 2) There are already buildings that do that, adding another one wouldn't be a bad thing =) 3) Disagree. I would like to get an automatic tree pick after determining a path. It would be helpful and IMO more immersive. And maybe a Free pick from the Traits Tree every "x" levels. Tree progression feels horribly slow. 4) Agree with
Goodness! Who still uses CRT monitors?
Those old 21" Monitors were going for ~$1200 at one point. So I could understand some people's reluctance to pitch them, as they really should. At the shop we generally refer to them as "Boat Anchors"
I don't know if I'd say all generals have had the best armor available. They certainly had the most ornate/decorative armor available, which is not to say what they were wearing was really suited for the field. I would agree it would be a good option to have further down the advancement tree.
I know you're reworking the Champions, so hopefully Kasst will get a movement bump to 3
Kids nowadays. I'd like to transport you back to the mid 90's when patches and updates only happened once or twice if you were lucky if at all. Those updates may have been Months to years after the project. Unimpressed with the rant of self entitlement
If Swords Counterattack had a "First Strike" ability that applied potential damage to the attacking unit before damage is received, I think this would balance out how swords work now without making them OP again like in FE
