well its blue because its a "link" but obv an empty one. Either remove the link, or use the web-adress of something that helps your argument. Mass Effect also had this (primarily in conversations) and depending on your skill you could go about it in different ways. I suppose in your examples there was a % chance of success given the level of each stat, while using essence was a way to ensure it to work (although I think 5 essence is too much unless this was a Giant Demon or in

My Tyranid Sabateurs (The Gene Stealers) shall infiltrate your cities, and slowly convert your populations towards the cause of "The Brood" muahahaha [e digicons]}:)[/e]
Well ... if events are tied to experience, there is the dilemma of either memorizing the correct answer to each event, or it being completely random (King's Pass). Personally I prefer the random approach to events, however having Experience tied to either approach would be tricky. Lol .... maybe running your empire w/o fighting could be represented by a Bejeweled mini-game. Maximum of one round of Bejeweled per turn :
Ah ... honestly this seems like more micromanagement. All I was saying, was that in order to make the best deals (Alliances and So forth) you need for an important Champion/Royalty to be a permanent "guest" in the rival's city. It opens up for more roleplayish-ness (even if it does almost force a point) ... however it brings more players aware of the possibility of making diplomacy more personal as opposed to numbers. For instance ... a player could (outside of in-game
I like this idea on concept, at face value. Not sure if it is best for the current implementation of Elemental (namely the unmodded version) although it is certainly an excellent idea, and I wouldn't mind playing with this feature (and yes, I mean that even AI sovereigns would benefit from this ... And I don't think it breaks the game in this way either)
Well ... ya know they could sell the MMO trademark rights w/o selling the TBS or RTS (or anything else for that matter) trademark rights.... Although it is unlikely that a company would willingly buy only the MMO rights if they know the company that sold it could make another game which might draw from their MMO crowd ... But then again, an MMO is a completely different type of product than TBS/RTS/Book ... so it would be perfectly acceptable to have the True Canon (Stardock's
[quote who="SpardaSon21" reply="50" id="2621281"]Yeah well, it is expensive, and you may want a regular Leman Russ as well for the 72" S8 AP3 Ordnance Blast Battle Cannon. You read that correctly, the regular Leman Russ can match Tau Hammerheads for range, and hit them with a S8 Ordnance weapon (which is great, since Ordnance weapons get +1 on vehicle damage table rolls). Oh, and get a Basilisk or three for the 240" range and Ordnance Barrage S9 AP2 Large Blast weapon. And r
good ideas.
Its not "planned for a mod" but may become part of one. I like your changes to "one time" gains to essence, only the rarest of the super rare... however I like all of my Long-term Essence gains Ideas.
Well, I personally think that the core mechanics of essence should not be changed. IE essence should be related to Mana Caps.
You misunderstand ... I mean the artificial limits are based upon the envoy system ... ie you can only send an Envoy with a limited amount of troops. However, my idea was also that it would be a useful mechanic for any Champion. YES ... if a detailed and complex "excellent" stealth encounters ... where the player can only control a limited amount of units (the rest scripted AI) would be awesome, I feel that this would be more "Fair" and simpler to implement. So yes, un
What is an entire Orkish ecosystem?
You assume that a sovereign needs to be a tank if they don't want to be killed. YOU CAN USE MAGIC TO FIGHT!!!!! GRAWR! I mean ... you are assuming that you can't use combat spells, or that combat spells won't be able to kill your opponents. Its a side effect from beta 1, yes, but doesn't mean it will be in the final game!!!
The idea was primarily based upon Permanent Envoys being Family Members ... although I suppose if you could afford to send 1000 troops with your envoy, no one is stopping you.
See, this is what I can't possibly understand. If the Imperium holds trillions of trillions of subjects, and controls most of the galaxy, then it would follow that the Orks never actually have anywhere near that amount, but instead bloom like viruses in various pockets of the Universe and attack and die just as quickly as they are birthed from a single parental generation. Thus, it seems that the orcs have either billions or trillions of troopers depending on whether they were just re
Alternate sources of essence Here ... and none of them require direct action by the Sovereign, I feel like pointing out.
Lol well .... in my mind a good sovereign has to have levels, and obviously to get levels you either need to fight, quest, or both. There is a vast variety in ways that you can fight, quest, or both. Ultimately, however, it depends on the direction the Devs want to take.
I'll probably get a few ... for a while I wanted to get some miniatures of the Lizard race in WarHammer to use for my own purposes. In the end, the price wasn't worth the cool factor. If the miniatures were more inherently cool however (as Designed towards my own ends, meaning more similar to Dinosaurs/Dragons) But yea, I might get a few minis cause they are cool (from Imperial Guard, Space Marines, and Tyrannids) ... but not enough for gaming purposes. I also used to buy Mage Knight
They should make their OWN damn TT computer game!! xD Sure, it might *slightly* cut into miniature sales, but they could also cut back on miniature production. Suddenly, they would find themselves in a rather EXPANDED market. I am in no way promoting a TT simulator mod ... merely an EMPIRE BUILDING mod based on Warhammer 40k, with the Neo-Tech Prussian fighting styles implemented by most races in Warhammer 40k.
Well, I know in some posts of mine I have addressed the need for Quests to generate a significant source of XP. As for alternate sources of essence , you can look at this thread I made .
Or maybe, they will combine WOW with the Warcraft RTS ... and have WOW players able to invade RTS games at any time (other than campaign) as individual units. And then, if your character dies in the RTS world, its permanently trapped until the RTS player says different. Usually this will require allowing the RTS player to use your character as a unit in his game. Then you will be free to continue playing that character in MMOs and he can use your unit in his RTS games. The one
Games Workshop? So you are saying that any mod ... Warcraft or otherwise ... would attempt to destroy any budding mods based upon their universe? Mods that are potentially (Free) advertising?
While it might not be hard to recruit Champions, they are still finite. It won't perhaps be a HUGE investment on your part ... but there will still be some incentive. Why would an emperor care if his 6th son is killed? Still, it might be a consideration ... maybe if they aren't his children, but his Champion's children, that Champion will abandon him if he takes an action knowing that the child would die in 100% of possible outcomes. Maybe all Champions directly relate
Well ... I figure we can use the First Dawn of War game (the best) as a basic starting point for City-Building. Then we can add some civilian structures, etc. Of course, the Space Marines will have probably the lowest population and the highest stats (and the best melee, and probably best range/accuracy if you give a 1 to 1 comparison on Space Marine w/ Rifle vs one Guard w/ Rifle) but yea, the Imperial Guard are a Hoard w/ Range, and the Tau are stealth ninjas with the BEST r
I think that they are necessary to form more critical Diplomacy, vs the normal "I do this but I don't really care" And yes, there is a definite difference between Marriage for Diplomatic relations and keeping Family Hostages to enforce the Vassalage/Obedience of a nation.
