I would give you karma but ... 420!! kinda busy at the moment ;)
Tasunke
More one-off buildings (for single city specialization), and really crappy 'Sling shot' units to start out with ;) (for a hefty production cost). Both of these thing would give an alternative to expansionist zombies.
After playing the beta 2 for some time, it is clear the army-group AI is very good.
A few small nit picks would be Pioneers in armies (scouts have weapons, so are fine I suppose), and archers attacking city militia first. Ranged units should almost always target enemy ranged units first, regardless of armor considerations ... (unless a non-armored cavalry threatens them within this round, then target
Perhaps you should make a new thread proposing the above idea?
A round is different than a turn. Currently the UI does not make this clear to the user. A round is a set amount of time. A unit can have many turns in one round. Let's take advantage of this. I am starting to agree about need a new mechanic for spells. An arcane stat could be used to determine how long it takes to cast a spell. This would be a simple addition. 0 point of arcane means that all spells take a default of 2 rounds to cast
I was talking about City Prestige, sorry for the confusion. Getting +5 to City Prestige from a building with high labor costs and a tier 2 tech requirement would allow one city to rocket past expansionist nations. Building it would not be ideal for an expansionist, who needs to build lots of units. Call it Refuge District and either make it a dead end tech or add it to Administration. Of course it would be nice to have Tower of Dominion and Beacon o
Yes ... there was a time when an Iron mine was "unbuildable" for some reason ... after the mine had become destroyed. I think its an Interface issue.
It SHOULD be a weak attack (no more than 3, probably should be 2 attack) so that it CAN easily be countered with Shields. -> ie Zombies would have more of a counter than they currently do ... but Proper ARCHERS still reserved for late game ;)
Yea ... a "crude bow" ... or better yet Slingshot XD Maybe 2 attack. (ranged) -> start out with Slingshots and Clubs .. very stone age ;)
One interesting thing about being attacked from beyond sight range ... While Curgen's Hold was attacked from beyond sight range, it was also the most logical place for the AI to attack ... therefore I had prepared defenses for it xD I kind of like how the AI and I were thinking in similar terms regarding this aspect. The mistake the AI made, however, was that it somehow determined that i
I think I heard that Contagion is Death II Air II from the description I thought it might have been Death III Air I. Anyone deduce the real answer?
As long as Berserker bugs are fixed, I think Maul is a fine choice as an ability
I still think factions should have at least one piece of equipment that is stronger than all other equivalents [e digicons]:X[/e] Whether absurdly cheaper, a bit buffed, a bit higher initiative ... something. So that different Factions can have truly unique "unique units" Also, I feel the economies of factions should be able to behave differently ... maybe unique national wonders galore for certain factions ->
The Scrab Golems in the ocean are just barely visible (by their heads) ... so it would make sense that a Sovereign in the ocean would be COMPLETELY invisible ;)
xD Similar happend to Magnar. He (possibly died) ... wandered off after founding a new 'only city' and I could never find him again I think he either died to barbs, or used an escape spell into the ocean
I guess the easy fix is to add weapons to Pioneers xD -> customizing this is already possible ...
archers need armor if facing enemy archers ;)
As long as unit design can be relatively balanced for the early and mid game ... I do not see it as a problem.
ah k
It'd be nice if we had a quick little 'world builder' so that we could place spell levels on our Champions to test out spells ... I didn't even know Firestorm worked in tactical xD (thought it was like pillar)
Hmm. 5% unrest per 'extra' city beyond the first is an interesting idea ....
That is a great idea and it could be fun to use a dagger to cast a fireball and switch to the staff of souls before it explodes
for the lulz
Is Contagion Death III + Air I?
One thing I would like is some one per faction buildings that increase prestige in the early game. City spam is slightly overpowered and this would be a nice counter to that.
Yes. It would be nice to be able to affect your prestige more actively, so that the Prestige/#of cities is a real choice between one super city and city spam.
