If gunz ARE in, I don't they should be reproducible, but instead as artifacts found to be made by some crazy guy in a workshop high up in the mountains. You can periodically buy a handfull of such gizmos. Would be Better than the original muskets ... probably a gear powered, rifled thing powered by something similar but NOT blackpowder. Basically a giant Steam-Punk sniper rifle to give to your elite archer units. And perhaps a very RARE machine like a magical cannon or something, but can only

Well, I like how in the total war games Seige engines had a relatively low accuracy rate. You could be aiming for the walls, and occasionally hit a building in the city or the ground in font of it. Also, seige boulders usually CAN harm soldiers, only that actually AIMING at soldiers is near-impossible without Grapeshot as you say. However, even when aiming at buildings, if a boulder lands on some soldiers, it will certainly do high damage (AKA most would die I think) ... but most unit

Hmmm ... I smell a spell called "Black Powder Cloud" ... envelops an area, extremely volatile. Sufficient Fire or Electirc spells will trigger it, giving a devastating explosion which kills all but the more hardened veterans. (immediate 5 HP loss to all units, RNG to determine whether an additional 1 up to an additional 5 hp point loss)

But certainly a Cannon would have a large barrel of Gunpowder nearby for explosive action? Every fire attack onto a cannon batter has a 70% chance of a Cartridge blowing up and destroying nearby cannons? In any event, wet powder is like, a thousand times crappier than wet arrow feathers. Im pretty sure it will be Simultaneous. If its like most other TBS games (well honestly, I only have MP experience with BTS), then there will be a slight lag, and a combination of a faster computer, faster internet connection, and "fast moves" will decide who is to grab the goody hut first. I still think Sovs of a certain class should give bonuses to Units in an army they are leading. For instance, if a FIGHTER Sovereign is leading a stack of infantry, they will all get +1 defense and +1 HP. Gunz?? bringing down a dragon??? *ahem* basically the only thing gunpowder would be better than would be *mundane* things. Magical Beasts, Magical Shielding, Enchanted Armor ... all of these things would be largely unaffected. A stone shield, for instance, could protect against many bullets.
