Okay, yea ... quests currently don't seem to be working, at least not on my computer. Also, can't build workshops or half the other buildings, or Recruit heroes. I know its not implemented yet, but I think we should have an update or something with a more fleshed out game to test before we jump into multiplayer. Maybe a couple more tool tips, reduction of noob traps, ect.

I think each level should cost a gold coin, and coins should be slightly more available. ALso, small towns shouldn't grow into big towns cause of the lack of food resources, so why not have small cities cost less, and perhaps each level costs exponentially more? and gives exponentially more goods?
hehe a million sales is alot. Im just wondering how many of these 10,000 special editions will be gobbled up by impulse users, how many will be used by Us (probably 1:1 ratio of forum user to buying the preorder) .... and how many will be left over. I wish I had the numbers to crunch, as all I can really do is wildly guess. However I think 10,000 will be enough. That said, I REALLY REALLY want to get my limited edition for Elemental. Hmm, maybe they will allow for us to upgrade once h

well, I've found that each time you want to play a new game, you need to exit the game and reinitialize it. Thats cause the UI is saving or somesuch on the "game screen" not allowing a new interface to be made, so you can only load your game or exit, and by re-entereing have cleared the RAM and can make a new one. At least ... I think thats what it means.
Yea ... the bug is DEFINITELY a multiplier .... and I think its even worse than that!!! I had only 5 or 6 cities iirc with 600 or 700+ upkeep!!! in addition, the "Making of History" game is damn hard!!! Being non-self sufficient sucks :/ ... grr trade deals
You know ... I really think that shipping food from a Farm in City X all the way back to City Y via road would be nice. As in, City X no longer has the food, and City Y has the food. At least so long as the road remains intact. As well as more housing upgrades ... need something better than a house. or rather, need somethings IN BETWEEN hut and house, and house can be the premier coupe de gran, just under apartment for population amounts. Hut-10, Hovel-20, House-30, Community
It hasn't been implemented yet Hmm, I wonder when it will be implemented? Another 1G update? Beta 2? Sometime even beyond that?
Me too. I want to upgrade/get the box back at my house, and still be able to download my digital beta version here @ colledge.
I think the campaign should use only one map, one game, and be a series of game-changing quests and events which can bring you from positions of great power, to positions of great distress, increasing the strength of your personal sovereign the entire time. Probably an elite cadre of questing buddies as well. There should be options to recruit various NPC heroes, tame various magical beasts, and raise armies (other than the cities you may or may not own on the map at any given time). Sometime
Quoting GW Swicord, reply 13 I would think that the simple game advantage of polygamy would be the increased production of offspring. Not that I expect so see anything other than serial monogamy in the game (maybe the occasional quest/event-related child out of wedlock). I have real problems envisioning this part of the game. can our Sovereign marry more than once (after the previous died of old age...) or not? Will they ha
Easy use for essence .... create more cities!! But alas, you can also increase your attack. My adventure kings can usually kill a whole troll army by themselves by level 3 or 4, and take on individual trolls at level 1. Alot of that has to do with all the pretty potions I find to increase my stats, as well as the rings. Of course, my most recent Adventure-er king (wasnt actually an Adventure King but a Crusader King) ... he was accompanied by a Company of Elite Crusaders. Crus
You would actually hear of battles in the old days by messengers that sent out news or traders and travelers looking for a quick coin. So that way even if you hadn't even met a rival kingdom, you hear of their battles and have something to do during their turns. If say, I was at war with my neighbors and a message came to all of us saying our distant neighbor was getting crushed every turn by some unknown force, we could end our petty r
So! much! crashing!!! .... bangs head against wall, floor, and ceiling. Its all the more frustrating since the tiny bits that *actually work* are quite fun "for now" One thing that is super annoying though. There is a patch of fertile land in between some mountains, but plainly accessible. I tried to work my city towards it ... not "snaking" mind you, simply moving my buildings in that general direction. For SOME reason, my movement in that direction is HARD CAPPED!!! now, if
Okay .. so is ANY of the questing/ruins/dungeons implemented yet? or is it all semi-randomized popups?? in any case, I love the levelling up system, and Might I add that the Adventurer profession is AMazing :)
MP-first/primary SP-secondary(still quite strongly felt) LAN- ... I could care less
Okay ... I don't mind most of the psychological damaging pieces of the Beta ... however a way to scroll quickly across the map would be nice. For some reason the only way I can scroll is at the very edge of the screen, and only at a snails pace. It drives me crazy, and I have to use the "airplane effect" to speed up my cursor by doing nothing but make the map smaller. Please give an update with a faster scroller!!! :( Other than that ... im having quite alot of fun actually, trying to
yay for multi-turn urban seige battles.
hehe, for once, seanw3, I completely agree with you :)
Hmm. I would think that the weaker, lesser versions of the races are Anthropomorphic. For instance, the Dragon's slaves are anthropomorphic drakelings/troglodites/lizards. The Snakes are pretty much Colubra/Yuan-ti snakes with arms and speach. The Champions of Therapoda are great Tyrannosaurids and Allosaurs, as well as a Gigantosaur or Spinosaur I suppose. The Lizards are more anthropomorphic I suppose, in that they walk more like humans than the Dragons/Dinosaurs/Snakes. How
100% of spells DO NOT cost essence. Things that are meant to be rare and powerful cost essence. Embuing Champions with essence so that they can cast spells .... thats so that THEY CAN CAST SPELLS!!! (its not raising a mountain for a *few* turns) Reviving the Land to your element, costs essence. It keeps spreading for the entire game, eventually covering close to 75% of the map ... FROM a ONE TIME cost of 5 essence. (not raising a mountain for a *few* turns) these are already d

Example would be as such. I request army group A to move 50% of total alotted squares next turn, then right click the group and select an "action order" from a
That idea sounds ..... as if my head was exploding with bad news and a case of lame knees. 1 Essence per turn?? Thats actually *quite alot* ... and here I thought my Mana Burn idea was expensive yet potentially balanced. NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE would use Earth magic/Map changing magic, if it used Essence Drain. Essence cost? Probably not many people would use it. Essence DRAIN!? Absolutely no one would use it, other than for perhaps the novelty of it. Using essence permanent
Okay, so the only "limit" is on map sizes. But doest it also mean that for high-end maps a 64-bit version of the game would run faster? Or is that just graphic cards, and has nothing to do with memory ... [e digicons]>_>[/e] ... sigh
