Which reminds me ... many War Elephants had Ballistas mounted atop them. Having War Armadillos with Ballistas mounted atop them would be cool. Equal would be Griffon riders with Rope-hooks and hooked nets. Warg riders would also work with net-like weapons. Anyways, other than "normal mounts" ... big n large can mount light seige atop their backs, and any fast mounts can use Rope Hooks and Nets for capture purposes. In particular, a rope-hook for a Griffon rider

hehe ... its not 60x zoom Binoculars, its spies and infiltrators :)

Yea, having the ability and material to make a sword ... should allow you to craft the item and give it to a Sovereign/Champion.

I do not really feel that an actual tutorial is needed,, however i am not sure what my opinion would be if I had never previously played a 4X game.

Its not a bear cannon ... thats a Canon-Like Bio-weapon potruding from his chest, made from his very flesh! Obviously you would need to Research Nanotechnology and Bio-synthetic Fibers first!!

There should be villages like this http://www.hulu.com/watch/115823/legend-of-the-seeker-fury A band of people descended from the zealous warriors of an ancient bloodthirsty and criminal wizard. Perhaps there could be some repercussions from donning them as your new "homicidal" entourage instead of breaking their chains of bondage. Maybe it could have something to do with not being able to take prisoners, decreased prestige, occasionally losing control of your Sovereign

Um ... I am highly interested to know of this "Conclaves formatting your hard drive and infecting your network." I mean, as a joke I copied all my files to an external hard-drive ... and well, currently my (lap-top) is acting so crappy that I think either I'll need a new hard-drive or a new internal system/computer altogether. Now, there could be many reasons, including short falls, and potential over-heating ... but should I be prepared to encounter these problems simply from
"In UI terms, there will be a pop-up for the defender saying "enemy army is approaching. It has X,Y,Z units, with a total combat rating of C, approximate Strength Ration is R, enemy generals stats are A,B,and E." Hey, I like the Pop-Up idea. lol But I would disagree with that much information being available without having to send out your Scouts to actually detect the enemy visually, while hidden in a Forest or whatever

I wonder if the male-centricity or female-centricity of a Faction will be decided during faction customization ... or if your get to individually decide the fate for each Childling.

Definitely plenty of Wild-Cards ... that are 75% hard to get, 120% effective, yet 100% wild and uncontrollable.

So ... a Mass reduction of Pop-Caps, Max Pop-Growth, and Availability of food? Maybe you could have winters that last 10-20 turns, and it just be "mildy frosty" the rest of the time. As such, you would probably never have giant armies, with most units being party or company ... and the focus being more on adventure and Magic rather than Mass-Scaled warfare or Empire building. You could probably have plagues that pass through the land, killing off cities and armies (or

A tab that can access a screen of advisors (one for Misc help that breaks the 4th wall, one for Empire building in general, one for Adventuring, Military, Magic, ect) In FFH2 there is a pop-up text in the beginning, which explains basic concepts. (at least on first game-run). Having various pop-ups in-game would be extremely annoying, however having a place to go in need of help (adviser Lair) would be useful to new players (or just if your bored).
If I remember from Civ 2, the length of the turn decreaed as you progressed in the game. When you started, a turn would represent 50 years. By endgame, a turn only represented 1 day. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Same was present for Civ III ... I have completely forgotten if Civ IV used this though. Maybe its been in all Civ games?

Dragon Markers sound cool. Well, so far we have three major themes of acceptable dragon usage (theoretically during gameplay) 1. Raise your Dragon 2. Recruit a Dragon 3. Gain a Dragon (IOU) Marker

All weapons have at least two stats. +Attack and +Combat Speed. That is the current status. It has been previously stated that packs, rings, scrolls, and other such items will be able to endow soldiers with special skills or abilities.

I like first strike, especially multiple levels of it (higher first strike "gets" the first strike) after first strike it should be a 50/50 coin flip of who attacks next. I also think "melee" weapons should have a stopping power (or sp). Stopping Power is the ability to deflect or stop the charge of a unit that is mounted. I'd like to think of stopping power as damaging the mount's HP directly, however if mount + soldier are one whole entity, then that's fine too.

As far as getting high end Units + Weapons that are "elite" in the general sense ... see Demiansky's thread on (New take on Elite Units) In this thread, I was referring to the units that are specially trained without experiencing actual combat. Basically, these units receive the best training + combat simulators that money can buy (mainly due to the warlike nature of the nation) ... and so they are PURE textbook when it comes to combat knowledge. They are well disciplined in t

Its a decent suggestion, although I like my huts, houses, and Villas. More accurately I would like my Villas, Slums, and Mansions .... however those are not balanced yet. If a Mansion takes up 4 space, then it should really produce 10 prestige to be "worthwhile" Same methodology says that Slums should hold at least 300 housing (requiring either 16 or 12 food is debatable, depending on -1 or -2 prestige)

Heh ... I would prefer to have the equipment that I "buy" for my sovereign to wear not necessarily depict what he is going to look like. However, chances are equipment we wear will determine what we will look like (which is cool ... but not from a "clone" perspective) Therefore, I suggest that we should be able to buy "enchanted" clothing. Basically, the clothing gives the same stat as X equipment, and costs the same number of points. However, since its clothing, it ca

Well, this brings to mind the Unique Locations in Elemental. I know that they are currently just place-holders, but could they at least be good placeholders? Also, I managed to build a Regiment (250 soldiers) ... yet what came out was only 120 soldiers?? It still felt pretty Uber though ... like the Regiment could kill anything on the map. Anyways, currently the amount of effort required to train (and maintain) a regiment is exceedingly high. Im not sayi

Workshops do not house Blacksmiths, they House Carpenters. Carpenters are far more "low-tech" than blacksmiths. All you need for materials is a basic knowledge of wood, and ways to build wood together to create buildings. The main job of the Carpenter would be to cut the wood and make the nails by hand, and then hire laborers to piece the wood together. Houses and farms are actually rather complex structures, needing an advanced infrastructure to maintain. Certainly you would

Well, if buildings are going to be smaller, then I suppose making them 1/4 scale would be the first step. Mtns should stay the same size ... although I wonder if Resources should be reduced in scale to be 1/4 as well? Having a 16 tile Iron Mine seems a little odd, yet on the other hand you could make 4 resource providers for every resource (build 4 farms upon a Wheat tile, build 4 mines upon an Iron vein)
