Well the title is a bit long but I least nobody can accuse me to be "vague" like those guys that entitle their posts "idea" or "problem". What I want to say is that since the number of monsters was reduced with the latest patches, the map feels like a desert. If KAEL hasn't tried the earlier versions of the game I suggest him to do that in order to see how different the feel of the map was before. Having forests full of monsters was actually better, but it is tr
You've posted this same argument over and over.
Actually it is the first time that I explain what will happen in ALL your games if the AI learns how to use teleport defensively: all games will be the same no matter how beautiful the map is and the strategic element will fall flat.
party size + distance traveled It would make teleport useful, but not a win all strategy. Another way of "fixing" teleport is to make it op
You want hotseat and an easier editor, but other than that, my friend, I have no idea of what the hack you are talking about! [e digicons]8C[/e]
Id actually love to see the AI use teleport,it would add some challenge.
Believe me that is NOT the challenge you want. We need to be challenged intellectually, not forced to defend a stupid portal, which would make us waste hundred of turns just to see our empire destroyed in a second in a way we could not prevent.
(sorry double post)
We need stagnant portals. Portals would mean that they only connect to other portals in the world and you know if an army wants to move, they have to use a portal, it becomes something that needs to be defended and guarded. That way we can still travel great distances, but cant go anywhere at any time. That adds both movement and strategy.
Regarding portals what can I say, I see your frustrationa and I share it, but I have seen what happens with portals both in the
I'm fine with getting rid of Teleport, only if we find someway to speed up movement. Kraxis declared war on me, and it too me 100 turns to even be able to send an army across the map over to him. How god awful boring is that?
I totally agree that movement is too slow, Lord Xia! That is why I have suggested several times to speed units a little bit. Having the other way around (teleporting units) would be just
You plan, you move, you attract the enemy in a trap, you cross the world to take an empire from behind... Takes forever but it is worth the trouble right? WRONG! Whatever the terrain is, whatever brilliant tactics you could have used, the enemy might have a superstack somewhere ready to just jump WHEREVER you are attacking, and just kick you in the gums! Try to give that skill to the AI and see how many people will finally agree that teleport sucks! Ignore this
As the title says, sometimes one has so many quests started that it would be nice to make more clear WHERE one has to go in order to complete a particular quest. For example in the quest description by clicking on the objective, a location could be highlighted or by passing the cursor on specific locations on the map, one should be able to see which quest that particular location refers to.
1) Challenging AI 2) A Random map generator with all kinds of variable setting (especially number of random monsters I agree it was better before) 3) An optional setting for all kinds of teleport (spells, gates etc...), which spoil the wargaming experience 4) A Play By EMail multiplayer option 5) Units in my opinion should be just a little bit faster, which would also help the multiplayer, by allowing to do more things every turn (especially in PBEM "dead" turn

Unless your Sovreign is a Vegan that is, but "green thumb" is a skill for an old lady not for a fantasy hero!
11am here in Rome: still way too early for math (which probably accounts for certain inedequancies of mine in my early days of schooling)... But instincively I have to agree there is something rotten in the kingdom... Although the AI this early could probably exploit me.+
I am ta bit annoyed of being forced to hire pink dressed ladies for my Fallen empire!
Items: - I don't support the random items in stores. If I researched a tech there is no reason the appropriate item will not be available. - I think random magical items that are found on quests and can be used only by champions can help.
Actually the fact that something CAN be made doesn't mean at all that something WILL necessarily be made, nor that it will be made available immediately everywhere. Thinking that way IMO makes more
Let's imagine the gameplay has been defined by then, so let's not use this to explain changes of that kind. I am just wondering what else we could get in a game that allows for all sort of customizations. Personally I'd like to see 1) A Play By EMail option. 2) Flight introduced 3) Different looking kinds of terrains, maybe having to do with seasons 4) An improved way to play on the 3D map, since right now some woods look like grass and special
I'd like to know how many more patches to expect and possibly if there is an idea of when they are going to be ready (I don't mean to hurry anyone, just asking). I am just having some hardware problems and haven't been able to follow the forum the way I wold have liked to. Thanks
The game series Warlords although it didn't bother to much with ... ehm ... graphics had all sort of mounts: dragons griffins, giant bats... Well hopefully flight will be introduced in this game at some point.
Quoting StarReaper, reply 39They are not doing either Hotseat or By email. They need to. They are the best forms of multiplayer, especially PBEM for long games.
TOTALLY AGREE They have to implement those!!! Who is going to sit in front of a screen alone waiting for someone else somewhere else to end his turn? WE WANT PBEM!!
The title pretty much says it all. This kind of games have an infinite replayability because of their random map generator, unfortunately there is where the word "random" ends. The game would be so much better if researcheable spells were assigned with a certain randomness, if the weapons available in stores were not all the same and immediately available as soon as they got researched all with the same price everywhere, if enemy sovreign had different agendas and personalities, if techs trees
Agree that we need to identify the coast in the cloth map, but t would be really cool not to be forced to play only on the cloth map. In order to do that the terrain should be better identifiable, especially Woods: they should be better visible, while right now certain woods on the 3D map just look like grass.

If they trace any of the offending 500,000 users to Canada you can bet the Fed's will ask for them to be "extradited" to the U.S. for prosecution. The US Gov never does anything lightly so you can bet they'll go over-board with the law suites and treating people like criminals. No matter if t
For now my only solution is that only wizars could teleport, without armies... an alternative to make it optional, since a hero alone can't really win a battle. TP would be a way to escape troubles like that... Still a stack of teleporting heroes could be very dangerous.
