Can anyone tell me the hotkey to drag a piece once you placed it on the tile in the builder's forge. Currently I have to drop the piece exactly right, or delete it and try again. Surely there is a hotkey to move the pieces around after placement?

BUGS: Immortal Sovereign Wives If a sovereign's wife runs away in combat she becomes immortal. You can kill her over and over again for experience and she will just respawn in the square she died in. I think this may be because she is a sovereign and she "escapes" death but does not get teleported to a town. Tactical combat options disappear. <p

At this point it may be a good idea to approach the rest of Elemental's development as a mod project. Acknowledge that the game is a mess and write a design document for a mod using the engine that includes a campaign, fundamental changes to the current systems to make them cohesive and attention to modding tools and multiplayer. You are going to be spend quite a bit of time getting this game to where it should be for a release anyway, might as well abandon the "Fly by the seat of our pants"

The article is harsh but it is correct. It plays like a beta, buggy buggy buggy! That being said, I didn't expect to get the game until February of next year, so I am totally okay with that because I still believe Stardock is going to deliver me a decent product via patches over the next several months.

Admiral, that is some really awesome work! The minotaur would be easy to convert to a fawn too, great stuff :).

I have a gut feeling the release version of the game will not be very good, and it will be up to Stardock to make the next move. Make your decision based on that. Minotaurs and Centaurs are the primary ones I need for a mod. Preferably models that can be equipped with torso armor, helmets and weapons.

That would be consistent with what I discovered with making new medallions. I just use random sized .pngs and it works fine. I have not tested if there is a restriction on image file types, So I don't know if you can use jpgs etc.
So, does this mean there won't be a more user friendly form of custom faction creation for the final game? Or am I reading too much into it? I'm fine with editing XML, but... It lacks panache. One of my favorite parts of GalCiv 2 was imagining new alien species and running them through the creator to see how they'd pan out... Any feedback would be much appreciated on this.
Brad has said recently that factio

Thanks for posting this! I just wanted to add a minor thing. In the units folder is another folder called "Icons". You can replace the sovereign's picture in that folder with any size *.png and it will use that picture for a medallion. For instance, i created a sovereign that looks like Jafar from Master of Magic. Then I took a screen shot of Jafar's portrait in Master of Magic and replaced the icon for that sovereign with mine. It worked pe

We need exposes! Expose to piercing Expose to slashing Expose to Crushing Expose to (Insert elemental damage here) How about stealth? Units would be invisible depending on terrain and/or distance to enemy. Death Strike - (Killing strike raises the enemy as a zombie or skeleton) Arrow Fend - Unit with shield equipped has a low chance of getting hit by arrows Also,

These are really great changes. The map is really starting to look a lot more organic, and the 10 square spacing will help with that even more. I agree with some of the other posters that some of the resource points look odd when compared to the cities, but I am pretty sure that will be easy enough to change if we want to. I am looking forward to this next build, but still not as much as beta 4 [e digicons][/e] .

I can't wait. I have my first mod completely laid out on my white board, I am just waiting for beta 4. My first very modest attempt is going to be to build a well detailed minor faction with a hunter/gatherer theme [e digicons][/e] .

Please don't make assumptions about our experience in software and games, and please take the time to look at the points we are making instead of bristling at what you are misinterpreting as a "flame thread". There is no such thing as a Stardock "hater" on this forum, but some of us are realists. If Stardock is able to fix the bugs, make the game fun, balance the game, set the pacing and form some type of cohesion between the functional units of the game, I will be tickled to de

I'm pretty disappointed in the game at this point. Particularly anything to do the with the way we build and expand cities and with the differentiation of custom sovereigns / custom factions. Here is a short run down: Cities: Cities are easy to spam. Selecting buildings for your city is trivial because you're building them all anyway until your pop caps. City specialization as the cities level do not have anything to
