It's a very cool feature and something that is fairly unique to E:FE. Really helps with the immersion and role playing IMO.
Well it's not a stream, but I put the video up in High Definition (so you can read the tooltips) and covered most of the important game elements. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlaR0C_v4Sg Took many many hours to produce, let's see some love The sovereign name was randomized by the way and used the capitar faction: Traits were: Might (+1 attack/level) Brilliance
Save it for the expansion and really go all out on this, IMO. Don't do anything half arsed. I'd love to see harbours, fishing grounds, sea monsters, troop transports, various naval vessels, etc. However, nail the vanilla game first. Adding a naval element in the future would be a big draw for the game, IMO.
I'm not a big fan of King's Bounty. I absolutely loved the Bioware Infinity Engine games like BG, IWD, Planescape. Great games. It's too bad that Bioware has gone down the tubes (for the most part). But on the RPG front I'm good. Between Skyrim, the forthcoming Kingdoms of Amular, and plenty of other great games, I'm set.
I loved the Icewind Dale series. I can only hope that this story
I agree with this. There needs to be a reason for heroes to stay home and govern. There are some excellent ideas on here. :)
It could possibly use some changes but to outright get rid of it is wrong.
This Thursday it'll be extended to everyone who bought WOM before November 1, 2010. It'll be 0.76 which will be a fairly significant update too.
Glad to hear it. I'd like to see a change log for 0.76. :) Gah...what kind of a crappy smiley is that now???? ------> :)
Very encouraging to hear about the modding capabilities of E:FE. [e digicons]^_^[/e]
After attempting this all day, I've got it! The first episode of my "Let's Play". Hope everyone enjoys! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0x8r1soQb0&context=C3d3832dADOEgsToPDskLIAnvemghVx45lPLEWBfO7 Also, lemme know about things I can change. My first recording and LP so it's all WIP. EDIT: Playlist- http://www
I'd like to see a separate ledger page for caravans. Also, it should cost some money to initially setup the trade route. After all, roads shouldn't come free. Finally, I'd like to see the ability to build roads to outposts.
Although I don't have any solid ideas of how to reimpliment dynasties in the game, I'd like to voice my support of them and would love to see them in an expansion for E:FE. (Along with Naval units and a separate Nature Sphere of Magic. :P)
I'm confident things can be figured out. After all, you can't get a metacritic score of 90 with crashy games. I do sympathize with people with crash problems certainly. I had quite a few problems with cIV initially which were very frustrating. (ATI video card was the problem.) I'm glad I stuck with cIV because it turned out to be one of the best games of all time. Here's hoping that Stardock has the "sticktoitiveness" and k
Some very good ideas on how to tackle the issues that have come up with E:FE. Fully shared XP is problematic and needs to be changed IMO. Mana usage limits per battle sounds good. I really like the idea of portals as well. It would allow a player to use an island map and not worry about boats. :P
Quoting Ihfacny, reply 1 Also the mechanic of giving everyone the full experience bonus also encourages "packing heroes". I was thinking tonight about the hero "problem". I was wondering if / how xp was being split among members of a party. This mechanic of not splitting xp is a complete game-breaker. I can't believe SD hasn't figured this out yet. I really can't emphasize that enough.
Happy to hear this. Hopefully they will adjust the XP given out then.:)
Quoting seanw3, reply 3I am working on 300+ quests right now. I think it is a good place for user created content. My theory on quests is to have several with the same opening, but clicking on an option will have a different result. That way instead of Accept/Decline, we get a series of Risk/Benefit options. Hope that makes things more interesting for you guys. I agree, there is huge potential for user generated
Of course constructive criticism is good but please keep in mind that this is the beta. We all knew the AI would be less than perfect going in.
I disagree. I think this was one of their better decisions and I agree with their reasoning. I prefer the guns or butter type of approach better than the dual build approach.
Keep it in and have an option to auto place sounds good.
Apparently the video quality is such that you can't read the tooltips.
Lol. It's all good. I enjoyed the videos. Thanks for that. :)
I agree. There should be a sticky for AARs, LPs and Live Streams. Anyway, here is a thread that has a few somewhere. Let me dig it up: https://forums.elementalgame.com/415530 Give these people some karma for helping out the people that are waiting for the beta or want to see what the game is all about.
Quoting Thormodr, reply 9Yeah, that seems to be the problem. There doesn't seem to be an option to pre order the game because I'll get it for free. Ah, I see. I'll check on this.
Thanks very much. :)
I remember playing D and D and having characters die. (Too much admittedly. :P) Usually the party was too low level and didn't have enough $$$ to resurrect party members. Resurrect was a pretty high level spell and it was very expensive to get a high level priest to do it for you. However, an alternative was reincarnation. It was lower level and a lot cheaper. The problem was, you'd get something totally random. Still, it was hilarious when you'd get
Yeah, that seems to be the problem. There doesn't seem to be an option to pre order the game because I'll get it for free. If I log out then I have an option to upgrade or purchase Fallen Enchantress. When I log back in, that option disappears. :P
Quoting Archonsod, reply 11Heroes might be immortal, but since there seems to be a good chance of them picking up injuries when they fall in combat it's not that big an issue. Let your hero fall once too often and they'll (literally) be too crippled to be much use. Heroes that fall in a battle that you won do not recieve scars. THAT right there is an issue. You shouldn
