Sorry, my bad. I've tried reproducing this a few times to get a debug.err and cannot reproduce this issue any more.
rolls_badly
I could reproduce it even with shadows disabled.
This has occurred for me too, though not every battle. I did not move but ended my turn. The battle field stayed wight but when I moved the cursor around, it changed to the attack cursor at a certain point. A click at this point showed nothing on the battle field but the enemy portrait showed a loss of hit points. A second attack concluded the battle successfully. <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8956753/07-21_1/BlankBattle.JPG" alt="blank battle
- In a level 2 (or larger) city, build a market. - Zoom all the way in Expected result: all figures should be waring the nation's colours. Actual result: some figures in the center of the tile are colourless. Please see screenshot:

I didn't loose my city, but I did get two fights, one immediately after the other. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8956753/07-19_1/debug.err
For me the performance is OK until I enter any of the kingdom screens (e.g. Technology screen) or the shop for the first time. Immediately after that the graphics slow down so much that it takes about 30 seconds for a notification to appear and it sounds like the hard disk is accessed for every new frame. This was not an issue on 805. Windows XP SP3 Intel Duo Core 1.86 GHz, 1 GB RAM NVidia GeForce 7650GS 256 MB
I did have this issue on .805. Now, on .806 there are no graphical artifacts after entering and closing the technology screen. However, after entering and closing the technology new, the frame rate drops to about 1 frame per second, completely slowing the game down. I couldn't get pastebin to work, even when dividing the debug.err into smaller files, so I put them on DropBox: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8956753/debug.err http://dl.dropbox.com
