Are there difference in sex ?
There are differences between races - were your male and female of the same race? I didn't think there were gender differences (but then I'm often wrong).
Shrill Lord cast Titan's Breath on my army. The animation showed all of my spearmen getting knocked to the ground, while my champions (on horses) were not. On of my champions then cast Obscuring Fog. When he did that, all of my spearmen instantly changed to the standing position, then when their turn came, they fell to the ground again and then rose. Kinda minor, but it was strange to see the two spells interfering with the animation of Titan's Breath.
You're also supposed to be able to recruit wildlings (there's a tech requirement for that), ogres, mercenaries, and dragons. The dragon is only available (as far as I know) from the Curgen's Hold quest and then you have to research a very expensive tech. Mercenaries appear to be broken, you can build the camps but they don't seem to appear to be recruitable in the nearest town. I haven't tried ogres yet.
I believe they are supposed to be limited either to a faction or to either Empire or Kingdom types, but it's not yet working correctly. Try clicking on the greyed out button anyway, often that will let you build it and recruit drakes.

This does not appear to have an effect on direct damage spells and is used purely for determining whether or not your debuffs will land. Given the frequency of resists my best guess is Penetration/(Penetration+resistance) (needs citation).
One of the tooltips in the game says that Intelligence increases both spell mastery and spell resistance, which determine (as
You didn't happen to hit ctl-N to get that map did you? I think there have been some reports of strange happenings with that.

I've seen this reported in the forum before, but I've never had a problem with reprisal. Does it matter if the unit using reprisal is the not one that cast it or not? The only time I've used it the champion who had it cast it on himself.
In my latest game, my sovereign was throwing them, and hit several 1s, a 2, a couple of 4s, and one 6! Six is the most I've ever seen. Edited to add: This was against bandits, their dogs, and spiders.
Wow, that's a good one. Definitely something wonky with quest hut spawning in .86.
They probably used Titan's Breath.
I've mentioned this before, and I agree that it is needed.
Yes, I think it's one for strategic and one for tactical. I've seen this for Wither and at least one other spell.
By the way, I think that clearing these wildlands should be added to the quests sections of the Kingdom report.
In my most recent game I had to battle through three of them. Unfortunately I can't remember the names, but the first was something like "Curgen's Tomb" where I had to defeat a storm dragon, the second was "The Northern Wastes" where the boss was the giant ice monster, and the third was "The Scrap Yard", where I had to battle large stacks of scrap golems. I haven't hit Abeix yet. The Scrap Yard was fun, though.
When an AI has stacked several armies on top of one another, and moves all of them to destroy one of your resources (in my case a scenic view) you get one warning message about it for each of the armies. For example, the first time this happened, Magnar hit my scenic view with a stack of three armies, and I got three warning messages. The second time, while I was rebuilding it, he hit it again with five armies, and I got five warning messages about it. One would suffice, esp
I have zero modding skills or knowledge about what is possible, but I think this is a cool idea if it's possible.
If there are benefits for choosing one over another, it would help if they could be known.
Agreed. They are not the same, the base values for strength, intelligence, etc vary among the races. There's a post here on the forums that lays out the differences, but it really should be available to us in game.
the detail map is still a model of accuracy compared to all the missing mountains on the cloth map.
No kidding. I remember tons of posts about that during the EWoM beta.
And (same game) the indicated tile looks like plains, but the game thinks it is mountainside:
Looking a bit further east, there are also two river tiles that look like plains next to the water shard on the right side of the picture I posted above.
OK here's another one. In the following screen shot, the three tiles indicated are all river tiles but look like plains: I discovered it when I moved my pioneers onto the right hand tile and they lost all movement. Hovering the mouse pointer over those tiles shows that they are river, as you can see in the upper right of the picture. I tried saving and reloading, and those tiles

I agree with your point, but note as a way to work around it you can turn off both auto turn and auto select next unit in the game options screen.
