I was trying to open it in a new tab when I posted that I couldn't see it. So I think it really was unavailable for a while.

I can see it now, thanks.

It's not just rivers that can be invisible, I've posted on rivers, hills, forests, and mountains that look like plains in the game, and you have to mouse over them to see what they really are. https://forums.elementalgame.com/418719

I actually sorted liked the campaign in EWoM - if it had stopped crashing on me and I'd been able to complete it (during the beta). If an FE campaign could show some of one or more (preferably more) faction's lore and special talents/abilities, I think it would be a big plus to new players (and reviewers).

I agree, there should be a way of deciding that you're not quite up to the quest yet but could come to it later. I had suggested a while back that quest huts should show their difficulty level AFTER you had researched the tech to try them, since you can research the tech long before you have an army strong enough to do them. If that's not changed, it makes it even more desirable to be able to refuse quests but not lose them.

There was an already reported bug about mage units not being able to defend a city, and if I recall correctly it was stated that it had been fixed for the next patch. Not sure about the archers, though.
Yes, except for the CPU (I have an Intel I7) your specs aren't that much different from mine, and I've had very few crashes. Your crashes are supposed to be automatically sent to Stardock via their Smart Exception software, but Brad (Frogboy) has also asked for us to post them in the support forum. Please refer to this post for what files they want to see and where you can find them: https://forums.elementalgame.com
A couple of things can be addressed in the settings. For instance, having newly trained troops get added to the city garrison is a gameplay option you can choose. I think (though I'm not sure, and won't be able to check until after work) that there's also a setting to tell what level of zoom triggers the cloth map.
According to the developers and folks posting here, Xin XP 32 bit users are experiencing a lot more crashes than Vista/Win 7 users, and especially compared to Win 7 64 users. What are your machine, OS, and video specs?
I use the overhead view for city building all the time, and yes, I can confirm that sometimes it doesn't get turned off correctly. I haven't figured out the exact sequence to recreate this, but it is a problem. The unit move thing might or might not be a problem. If you move a unit and set a multi-turn path for it, it's not going to move again when you hit end turn, it's going to wait until you hit end turn for the next turn. This is similar to the wa
Some of these buildings with no graphic can still be built, it's just that you can't see them to place them on a tile in your city. So it's kind of random where they get placed.
I agree. I've never had any armies eject onto a quest hut, but I have (many times) wanted them to eject onto a road, and instead they eject into a river or forest, from which it takes them a couple of turns to get to the road I wanted them on.

Ratatosk7 , I appreciate your ability to write in clear English, complete sentences, and coherent paragraphs, unlike some posting in this thread. Due to my age, job and family responsibilities, and other interests, I don't have the dedicated time to devote to a MP game. I need something that is entertaining yet can be paused frequently and resumed later - the
I also have Win 7 64 Home, quad core, 8G memory, ATI Radeon HD 5870, and aside from a very few crashes (a lot fewer than in the EWoM beta), it's running fine. No alt-tab problems for me, although they've been very common in Stardock games in the past.

Not to detract from Lord Xia's brilliant Monty-Pythonesque satire, but is there something that could be researched that would make sense here? Logistics (ala GC2)? Small unit coordination? Command structure? Magic-based unit communications?
