Ok, game's starting to get out and I'm checking out the file setup. I'll be updating later on what should be in the first release, but dont hold it to me. enjoy! Edit: Allright, looking at what I have, I should be able to make the effect of musket fire. Animations and such will come later and models for a musket I do not have. My next objective will be to up the effect of swords and add pikes and whatnot. What I need right now is someone who c

Hello, I cant wait for the release and I just wanted to ask, will the faction editor be back in. I really enjoyed it and was looking forwards to having it back. Thanks in advance : ) andrew
Ok, bear with me for a second, I dont want to come across as a complete jerk. What I was trying to say was that "when my first version comes out" I would like to have a space on the thread. I do plan on working on this mod when the real game is out, but not in the beta. Since this is a thread for mods with work allready done on them, I'm not sure you want to have mine on the list yet but of course I leave that up to you. Sorry for nitpicking, I can be a bit crazy at times. &n
Feel free to add my upcoming mod, when the first virsion comes out of course, Elemental war of imperialism. A 17-19th century based mod that would change factions, add recouses, and of cours includ muskets, cannons, and grand line battles.
So, the buttons that go with saving the tile that dont to anything now, will they allow for simple editing (having options like what the improvement does or the value of the recourse) or will it just be for sorting perposes? Thanks in advance!
Wow! great stuff! I'd glady have you as the first member of my team, or even as a co-dev'er, if you like.
No magic acctually, though magic in this setting would be interesting... I was thinking that I could use the spells as special abilites to your nations, but I'm not quite sure how that would work out.
Sounds good, but wouldnt it get a little out of hand after a while? I mean having to specificly choose each of your hero's and heir's trait.
ELEMENTAL: War of Imperialism Idea: The point of this mod is to recreate a fun but historically accurate simulation of the 17th and 19th century. I hope to incorporate many of the things that made this time period so pivotal in the shaping of history such as musket warfare, colonization, and great naval battles. I also want to show the intricate governments of the time and the beginning of the transition from monarchy to republics.<
This looks amasing. Along the lines of modding, I'm allready planning "Elemental: War of Imperialism".
Expand the race distinctions and provide more assets and code to support players creating their own custom factions made up by their own custom races I would have to say this option would be both something that would make the game interesting and more involved. Mabey I could suggest Templates that would let people start with major stats allready in and then just be able to tweak minor stats, for all the pople who want just some custimization.
Conformed, I had this problem in .29 and still havent had it resolved
well, i can see that muskets are out of the question. Might i at least suggest crossbows? p.s. i didn't relize people were so strongly opposed to early musket men. whoops...
May I sugest the inclusion of early musketry and cannons in this game. I would love to see an army of well orginized Musketeers take down a powerful hero in a dramatic "end of the old age" scene
I have been experiancing a crash every time i have tried to hit the "create soverign" button. This button is the only one displayed and I assume that that is not the way it is to be set up. zxcvmnb
ok, i have two major problems, first of all the turn button does not work, i am oly left with a greyed out blank space where the turn button should be. Secondly, in the unit creation menu, all units including animals and even several types of trees are displayed, but only there 3d outilne is showed.
i like the ideas here! one thing i was tyring to get across but i dont think i covered well was that there would be no set zone types, you would be able to designate districts then dicide what can go in that district. ( District 1 = small markets, taverns, small house...)
ok, so I have been beta testing and i have a sugestion for the city building mechanics of the game. i think that you should be able to mark off land in your control as diffrent districts then specify what kinds of buildings can be made in this district (EX. district N = light residential - hovel; hut; small market...) once the district has been set up the ammount and types of buildings made will depend on the needs of the people in the disrict. you would s
banned for ever visiting any site relating to elemental (ha, that one is unbeatable)
after the beta 1A update, everytime i open the game, it crashes right after showing the loading scren
after i had established a good idea of what was around me and started a single city (20 turns or so) i moved my chanler onto my city square, his HUD stayed up instead of the city screen and the "create city" button was avalable, after pressing this, my screen was flung to the north-eastern most part of the map and, after i returned my city, the second one was gone. the only thing was i was able to build roads between both cities and info screens alaways told me i had two cities.
so, GW Swicord (or anyone eles who feels like answering), if i pre-order now doest that mean i will be in the beta, or will i have to download the beta before the deadline hits to get in?
thanks, i have another questions (sorry about the annoyance) do you have to pre-order now to get into the beta, or will they be excepting later pre-orderers?
hi, umm, im new here, please dont attack me with endless complaints if this is posted in the wrong place but i do have several questions about the game. first of all, is the unit creator going to be in-game or will you have to create the unit in a diffrent program and load it onto the game secondly, will there be a building/tile improvment creator? if so, will it be in-game and will you be forced to mod the building to give it certain attributes, or will you be able to ch
