Using that logic why should I be charged for rearranging the chromosomes of a living being and in order to shape it to my will and eventually conquer the world zerg style.

A new option appears "Raze Settlement" and it tears it down. Definitely nice for some of the more useless AI settlement placements. Thanks for that. But why should anyone have to research "How to raz

Wet T-shirt contest that we were promised in beta!

Forgot half-decent multiplayer with rankings and global statistics. Also I'd like a sandwich. Oh and sponsored tournaments where I can win t-shirts and a great big golden champions belt or perhaps a crystal shard with gem corresponding to element (ruby=fire, etc) as a gift for special someones.

Oh looks promising! On a sidenote... I did not realize AIs were advanced enough to to predict future turns. For example does this simply mean that they cheat and see you teching say horsemen in a game and respond by training pikemen? Or does it mean they notice from their encounters with your army that you are very horse reliant, or see buildings that support horse tech and in turn realize they should train more pikemen in war preparations a

Delivery of sandwich via carrier pigeon when hungry via ingame interface. Thereby saving precious minutes of walking to kitchen and preparing one that could be better spent playing elemental.

I have more hope for Elemental's future than Civ 5's. Like a fanboy I preordered Civ 5 and was not able to return it to get my money back. I'm stuck with both so I am now imagining it like a race to cope with my percieved $100 or so loss, which game will be my strategy replacement for Civ 4 first. Expanding on unique tech trees dream; I liked the idea of uncommon/rare techs although the implementation I saw before they disappeared was quite bad. I think there was a lot of potential in the idea for rarer more powerful techs to make games a bit more unique, and I hope its added in the hopefully inevitable makeover of the current tech tree. Honestly now that work is probably going to begin on patching soon hopefully I'm going to be plugging this as much as possible along with the mor

Mystical would be hilarious. Prodigy reminds me of that old tech tree. I do hope uncommon/rare techs is implemented again only in a better way. I thought the core idea was very original and set the game apart from other 4x games.

ATM it has the learning curve of a strategy game, yet none of the depth/content. I don't mention the AI as we know thats being worked on. I'm waiting patiently for any news on future patches for all that other stuff. Quite a few bugs and game breaking mechanics that still need to be mowed down and the game doesn't yet have that 'one more turn' feel either. For me its more of a...click end turn, rinse and repeat, yawn. Winning the game is more of a grind/inevitability than anything involving s

I've heard some troubling talk of them being "micro-expansions" a couple of times in the past couple of weeks. Then you haven't been hearing in the correct place. At least I haven't read anything by Stardock this last couple of weeks talking about doing microexpansions.[/quote] I think its just paranoia d

What I don't understand is that the sales on Steam are often reflected on other digital stores even all purpose ones like Amazon and those less focused on actual games like Newegg. Steam has very clever marketing to bind it all together yet other places are still selling it at higher prices even though online stores like the examples I mentioned earlier are still selling them at sale price. Is this just because all the above can afford to sell less and match each other'

I agree that the game should start out with few resources and wilderness style. However it should be a wilderness that you eventually overcome and conquer outside of a dragon or elemental lord type spawn. Early game you should be at the mercy of the wilderness, working on fortifying your position and getting the basics setup using goodie huts to give a boost. Midgame you should be looking to start dealing with neighbors through diplomacy (not really implemented yet imho) or war. Late game you

I agree with Heavenfall on this. Also I don't think kingdoms/empires are very red tape heavy. As king/queen you wield absolute power and when you tell them to do something and it gets done. Also you can light people on fire, that tends to cut down on any bureaucracy getting in your way.

I'm not sure if I agree with the original post, but I do think there are serious pacing issues with the current game. For instance population growth is way too fast and spell research is pointless to invest even a single city in speccing arcane research since once you get up a few monasteries or have an arcane improvement you are on the fast track to learning a new spell every other season until you are working on level 10 spell level research for lolz. Possibly cutting down on the effect pre
