Had this problem initally Just go to the elemtal folder and run the .exe file you can also go on impulse and select to recognize a game installed on your system. Either way you have to download the patches so it doesn't matter. This way wiill get the game running ot allow you to get to that point... Hope that helps
Don't forget that magic in many ways is predicated on the build of your initial channeler. Wisdom is what effects your cost per spell. So if you do create a new hero, try and max out the Wis. You cannot change that in game.
I went to impulse and just self identified that the game was on my system and then registered it to get the update. You can also launch the .exe file yourself instead of having a shortcut. Will tell you guys if it works after I finish downloading the update Edit: it works. I now can play the game. Don't know about the rest of the issues everyone is dealing with, but you can atleast get started
I am having the same problem.. My system Specs:Windows Vista SP2 Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q9400 @ 2.66GHz 4.00 GB RAM 64-bit OS NVidia GeForce 9400 GT Waiting on a reply from Stardock unless someone else has already dealt with this issue
