Would ruin diplomatic victory if required, as well as make diplomacy almost useless in general. But I agree it could be a fun option.

Sanati- Ever fought one of your custom factions, with your high-init designed archers, used against you? The AI isn't truly capable of utilizing them, but it can make archers a threat, in my experience.
Phaedyme- If you have dropbox, you can generate URLs to specific files rather easily. I can explain if needed.
The sad truth is, We are One makes his post and the replies fly in. Don't fuel the fire folks. It's like seeing an accident, best thing you can do is not look and keep driving.
It might be OP, but since you can never be sure you'll get it, does it matter that much?
If you're afraid of malware, you shouldn't be on forums, either. You need to never go on the internet to be sure. Even if you encrypt everything, hackers can steal your account or login to anything and get any data you've put on the internet ever. Mr I-don't-play-mods is just too important to be bothered with customizing his game.
I have seen Vetrar leave his wildland, back in FE 1.3. Deleted the save, alas...
Training archers with the Bloodthirsty trait really helps to offset the low damage against high defense units. Add on Heart Of Fire bonuses, and fire/ice rings if you have the crystal, and they have armor ignoring damage bonuses. If you have the archers faction trait and reach the final tier bow, it has 50% armor piercing. Basically game over, but you've probably won at that point anyway.
i think swords got nerfed too hard, otherwise weapons are very balanced.
Sanati- how do you get a 30 init archer without spells? short bow makes a unit 12 initiative. add quick, warg, amulet of haste and belt of speed, and init is 19. are you assuming any faction traitsk?
Supply dand demand. fewer, better heroes makes each hero more valuable. More, weaker heroes means heroes are less valuable.
just make the buildings produce .25 horsesl/wargs per turn and the problem is solved.
Thanks parrotmath. I will play around.
Parrot Math- How do you make random events? Are they mod-able via XML files? Is there a post you could link me to?
What if you picked from the tree on even levels, but got the old random perk selection on odd levels. The thing I miss most about the random leveling system is that you'd end up with skills you normally wouldn't pick, and find out they were great. If, say, your sovereign starts with tactician, he'll never get to tactician II unless you choose Commander. Under the old system, though, you could eventually become Tactician II even if you were a mage.
I wish you could get dragon mounts like Waerloga has.
I play as Mancers all the time, never have road problems. That said, if the devs could unlock this traits for all bloodlines, maybe just have it cost something for non-Mancers, that might make some people happy.
4. I'd love an option that has mobs and quests constantly respawn within cleared territory...This would give a mid to late game option to continue to fight mobs and do quests as well as attacking the other players.
+1 baby. I think QUESTS above all should spawn on their own, so there is always a new way to get XP. if your heroes always stand a chance at getting better, there's less chance of 'knowing' you'
If it helps, here is a save game where Verga surrendered to me, and he has 2 paths (mage and governor i believe) https://www.dropbox.com/s/voq8qobh9o2dmiw/For%20Stardock.EleSav
I think I've seen every AI sovereign and champion have at least 2 paths (thus far in my 2 games of LH).
Or just make a custom sovereign for any faction and pick the warlord profession.
This. Warlord will make your economic limitations on building an army go away. I use custom sovereigns with this trait when I play on ridiculous.
If you are not Quendar, and need cheap, quick-to-produce units, try this: Go into design units, edit the scout. Remove the scout trait, whatever it is called. You'll have a unit with just the "weak" trait, and two-handed pole (which has no labor cost). Save the unit, call it "Peasant" or "Goons," whatever. This unit can be built in usually 2-4 turns, and requires almost no wage (.2 I think). Use it to swell your armies to full strength, relying on swarm bonuses to kill thi
we are looking into it, thanks for the report
Sometimes I ask for surrender every turn. Just on principle. Probably doesn't affect the AI one bit, but makes me feel good. Because I am a petty, petty man inside.
Sorry, I think this makes the game better and should stay. Single mega stacks are less likely to win an entire war in one turn, which was possible. This will make the AI a little harder to defeat and outmaneuver. I vote it stays.
No way, my sovereign is still only level 9, and my army isn't big enough to lose several troop units to maul attacks... Later.
