Yeah, the build is very mana hungry which is why I was behind the Blade of the Serpent. Ultimately you get more spits/grasps/etc with it, but over a slightly longer period. If you want the staff for greater burst damage, you may just want to invest in a couple mana potions and be very conservative with them.

Minions have slow attack animations, so unless they move a bit faster than their target, they will have a hard time hitting a moving target. That's why people say that Synn, and also why you killing Rook is not as suprising, due to his low speed. Note that increase the speed of your DG also increases the speed of your minions, so a lot of minions builds could buff their guys by using Wand of Speed, Surge of Might, or even Boots of speed.

I think you are looking at this wrong Kestral. You are saying that the exact magnitude of the bonus is dependant on the other xp you get, which is true. However the value of that magnitude compared to where you would be without it is not dependant on player skill. I think the mistake here is that you are trying to compare YOUR xp vs the OPPONENTS xp, where you should be comparing it to YOUR XP with the upgrade vs YOUR XP without the upgrade. Also, currency has ano

I have won, and seen people win, games that they conceeded. Because it turned out they weren't as bad off, or that the opponent didn't know how to capitalize. I think the problem is that some people don't stop having fun even if they think they are going to lose, and some do. If you cannot enjoy a game once you think you will lose, you want to conceed right away to start a new one. If you still find it interesting and valuable, then you stay in. I proscribe to the latter,

That's actually just another reason to change things. Both sides should be exactly equal, not roughly equal. In the long run, one advantage will be more important than the other. It is better for them to be exactly the same. Edit: My point is that it shouldn't cut EITHER way, as opposed to cutting BOTH ways.

Yeah, you can use it in tandem with Heart of Life because the hearts ability isn't channeled, you cannot use it with Teleports or flag locks. Re: Sarmis - it is not a generally good item, I agree. But I think it is important to at least realize what it DOES do. Lastly, I also agree with Cowsex in that it is probably best used by Rook.

I'm not buying it. Getting some abilities a little earlier is nice, but so is another 600 health or mana on one of your teammates. So is buying a teleport scroll for everyone on your team, and maybe a couple locks. You will get more experience by having better gear for longer. Not much likely, but probably at least... 10%? A wave spawns every 30 seconds, You get 11 Waves in 3:30. If you get just one more waves worth of kills because of that 1200 gold, you are already getting the s

In a 2v2 combat or a 3v3 combat, if you get focused on, 5 seconds of invulnerability can let your teammates do a lot of good work. You just needed 5 more seconds for your batswarm to recharge You are rook in his tower farm, and avoiding a gank while your towrs continue doing damage. You just popped a heart of life and want to make sure it regenerates for at least half its possible duration (Kinda old) You want to avoid the snipe you know is comin

In the Lua, there is a very obvious coded part that makes a level 3 or 4 shield immune to debuffs. And testing has shown this includes stuns, which is what an interrupt is (a 0 duration stun).
yah try it out, no dice...it makes a level 3 shield Oak the perfect ninja capper
It makes oak the only Demigod who can always teleport in and lock a flag he already owns, nothing can stop him. He can often then just walk out through your entire army and get away, it is pretty cool (And annoying for the opponent).

I think leviathan with High Towers is actually better. Leviathan has a very weak tower configuration, and often towers won't even be within range to protect you. Unlike cataract where there are large groups of towers to run behind, There is no place to run in Leviathan.

This isn't a bug I'm pretty sure, and has been true since as far as I know. You do not lose the HP regeneration, since if you had not regenerated, you would still have been that much worse off. It is just that when you capture a flag it gives you a bonus to your total and CURRENT amounts, and when you lose the flag, the same occurs. The only slight bug is if they do the math wrong, and don't divide your current health by 1.15 when you lose the flag (It is tempting to instead multiply
im just gonna ask this question because im completely illiterate when it comes to these things. so in demigod the option is there for 5v5 (10 people) yet i will never be able to play a 5v5 or 4v4 (maybe coz of my connection). BUT i am able to play guild wars, instanced with 24 people in total playing an AB match with no problem watsoever and most of the time is playing with americans (i live in australia).<br /

There isn't really any reason to not help your minions out. Obviously Minion Damage + DG Damage is greater than just minion damage. The advantage of a minion build is that you can ALSO get just the Minion damage against an opponent who is otherwise too strong. Either because you are just too low on health, or because they have an ally nearby. Oak has the nice touch of being able to shield himself if things get too hot for him, and make a break for the nearest safe area, while his
http://www.gamereplays.org/demigod/replays.php?game=51&tab=upcoming&show=details&id=99021
Watched this replay, and I've got some tips. You were playing an Oak minion build. Early on, I thought you were just not reacting to combat very well. People fighting near you, and you not engaging. I realized that you were actually only sending in your minions to do the work. This is really not a good idea, especially at level 1

Actually I think just not showing the animation would be fine if you are in motion already. It isn't like the little tenth of a second animations are adding a lot to the visual space.

Change the numbers, and make % regen based on your current Mana, not your regen. So make PLenor like a 1% mana regeneration, if you have 500 mana you get 5 MPS. If you have 3000 mana, you get 30 mps. But as you spend it, it goes down. Would also teach people to conserve mana.
