Honestly, doesn't this video seem a little scary to anyone else? I mean, what features did he show? Like, decorations around dialog boxes, and the fact you can, uh, cast things and do basic empire management? Other than hitting peoples nostalgia button, did this video really show us anything, other than Brad not really knowing what he's talking about?

Yeah, at first it was just blubbery, then it went downright crazy so I assume satire. Sadly, crazy and Satire aren't always differentiable.

I think Metacritic would like to have word with you. It has the worst ratio of professional reviews to user reviews of any game in history. <a title="Spore Reviews" href="http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/pc/spore" target="_blank"
Heal Healing Wind Yetis Heal Healing Wind Yetis Heal Yetis Save Heal + Yetis Strategy: re Cast Yeti's only when tower assaulting or at crystal. They are to expensive to spam. Mainly you will be a healbot sedna with yeti's. It isn't the best build for Sedna, but you'll still beat the majority of QoT, Reg and DA players. I can haz millionz now? </
It seems to me like this one is the hardest for long strategy games to do well in. Most of the games that I've played, the last 10-15 minutes are a foregone conclusion.
You are thinking about the last 15 minutes of the entire game. Consider the last 15 minutes of each play session. Good results: Man, I have GOT to go to BED. That was pretty fun, I wonder what I could do bet
1) Only Show Experience 2) Make the Experience of your team as a whole matter when it comes to how it changes at end of game. 3) Now players will be less annoyed at having a weaker team because they will know that losing with a bad team will not impact their 'experience' stat much.
It makes you seem like a Jerk though. I mean, here you are complaining about someone whose name is "Santa is my Hero" as being inflammatory. Makes it sound like you got something against Santa. Thing about the OP, is that it doesn't even try to communicate well. I have no real idea what he's talking about, and don't want to spend an hour deciphering "smth" as some acronym or something.

There were instructes there to edit the code into your game.prefs file to unlock these DG's, I'm sure everyone else here has already done it, and just didn't think it was necessary to comment. All non-pirates know about this. So ei
Well, back when favor didn't work, and people kept losing it, I'd host games with no favor items. It seemed fair. But at this point, I think they are an integral part of the game, and the enjoyment thereof. it *sucks* that new players don't get to use them, and I think it makes sense for 'new player' games to turn them off. But I can respect that joining a game, and then finding out you aren't playing the full game, is annoying. Though, I also agree that if you don't like
Also, gauntlets of despair currently drains 100 mana... if it is increased to 300, that is actually quite a bit. 15% of 300 = 45 mana per hit, on average, which is pretty interesting.
I am not completely sure but I think it means that Horn of Battle will now heal the same total amount it did before over a longer time period... I mean the way you put it would be total madness so I can't imagine they did it
Almost positive this is correct. Horn says X health over Y seconds. They want to increase Y, which means less Hit poitns per second.
I think Rage is just not a multi player oriented game though, is it? Doom 3 sure wasn't. Had like, 8 person deathmatch is all.
Balance Mod? Good idea: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/366143/page/2/#2418571 The real problem will be getting a lot of people to agree on things.
No, Polly is right, I don't think I've ever seen someone so full of themselves. I can only imagine what Playground is like at the dinner table. "Who wants my mashed potatoes? Are you a starving third world country kid who wants to be able to eat like me, in my awesome house? I will give you all you could ever want and more, including 3 FULL HOURS with my girlfriend." I mean, what the heck.
Just checked... horn of battle is +10 health per second PRE-patch.
Yeah I was going to make that same comment. Either it is going to be a buff, or someone is very confused.
@Zechnophobe when talking about "pure" ooze or not it is not a question about inner beast and/or ooze it is a question about SPIT and/or OOZE. pure ooze means NO SPIT spit and ooze are called HYBRID builds
Wow, I think this is the first really 'troll' thing I've done, if we don't count that QoT thread. What an odd feeling. My two posts were both intentionally snarky, the first sayin
Yeah not a whole lot, maybe 50 cents just to check out their stats.
Yeah, at first I was 'uggh' and then I actually followed the link and realized it had to be satire. There WAS someone who had posted sincerely with this opinion at some point though. And yes, the Robots did destroy him.
Nope gkrit, you lose the health, down to a minimum of 1 hp. So it won't insta-kill you, but it does th enext best thing. The high tier favor items just don't do anything good for the game. I don't know what their intent is. Let me just ask this, since I think it is easier to talk about: What exact benefit do you see for the game by adding more, stronger, favor items? I think it does the following things badly: It further in
Honestly, I think this is one of those builds where it gets too much advocacy simply because the quality of our player base is so poor. It has gotten to the point where a good player can beat more noobish players with such a variety of builds, that it makes people think that all the winning builds are somehow equal. Spooze is just better than Pooze. Anecdotal evidence may show that you can win with it, but the raw numbers really are against it.
TP Scroll, maybe Portal Lock are the two best items in the game. Hmm, it'd be cool if there was a Teleport Lock: Target a building with it, and it cancels a teleport to that building, and interrupts the caster. No Tele Gank for You!
hahahaha! too bad I can't quote that! Pure Ooze: Level 1: Spit! LOL? the whole point of this build is to ignore spit so you don't need any mana items so you can stack more health items and get other skill that are more usefull late game
Ohh, you mean like, PURE ooze. Okay, here's my build for that: Ooze</l
I think this is about the most effective Pure Ooze build that I've found: Spit Ooze Save Spit + Ooze Grasp Save Spit + Ooze Diseased Claws Save Spit + Ooze Use blade of the serpent favor item, and keep stocked on potions early on. People who do a hybrid Oooze, where they use Inner beast instead of Diseased claws, will almost always be at a disadvantage
I'm not sure what the point of this is. It won't bring in new players, and it seems like random bloat otherwise. WE already have a bunch of items that no one uses... if you want to make the game more dynamic and interesting, make those ones better. Almost seems like this is the 'well, we don't know how to balance, so we'll just add more stuff'.
